It probably means TBC. After that part, it says "SIByl still continues" which means there will be a high chance of second season. I wouldn't be surprise if they did a reasonable time leap. There are new enforcers in the background that were blocked. During the credits, Professor and SIByl system were discussing about something, guess there were colleagues. I bet they'll show some back story in the OVAs or something. I'm not satisfy with the ending. Just sayin.....

Yeah I'll give it an 8 to an 8.5 out of 10.
Unlike everyone else it seems, I was fine with the ending. I don't quite want to go through the effort of picking it apart, but I thought it was quite acceptable.

Pluses: Character designs, cyberpunk atmosphere, good conspiracy, nice antihero v. antivillain battle of ideals.

This show for me is like the reverse of Sword Art Online; my inner critic gave Psycho-Pass a 9/10, but my inner casual viewer almost fell asleep. Despite all the things I liked about it, I never felt like I had to watch the next episode once the last one was done. Ah well, I'm still glad I watched it. Bonus points to the fight sequences, IMO.

Please... I don't want to feel like I am the only one in the world who thinks this so...I'm gonna ask.... possibility on a scale of 1 to 10 of second season? I thought the ending was done in a way that IF THE DVD/BLURAY sales are good.. then it can happen.... I think (HOPE) it's pretty high....you gotta figure this was the best anime since fall....

Didn't love the ending. Drawing quality was off again. Left open a second season but without this season's main antagonist? Hmm, I dunno. If they make it I will probably watch it but I will nit pick it again LOL

This is just Production I.G.'s new project to reproduce the glory of Ghost in the Shell in a different setting. The Laughing Man was a great "villain." But Kuze turned out not much worse. It's obvious that Production I.G. will continue to milk this if it ended up taking in a profit. To be sure, Psycho-Pass is not the visual piece that GitS was. But the essence of both is to inspire philosophical discussions through the reification of a future dystopian. I personally wouldn't mind more anime of this sort.

The book in the last scene is by Marcel Proust , this one is the first volume of seven part novel known as In Remembrance of Things Past or In Search of Lost Time. It starts by a nameless narrator remembering his experience from his childhood...

Basing on those 2 titles....It is indeed a clue as to what is yet to come if there is one ....

I wouldnt say I didnt like the ending but it made me feel unsatisfied somewhat however I knew anything could happen. I somehow hoped Makishima was succesful...in his attemp ...well maybe a little .I know I am bad.... my crime coeffecient is up the charts right now lol.........

The same lines with a new girl at the end was cool and yet at the same time made me feel like this season was a waste, nothing was really accomplished... expected some closure...

Well Akane grew as a character for one thing, isn't that something?

I assumed it was just reinforce the similarities between Makishima and Kogami. We see Makishima reading obscure literature several times throughout the series and then as we hear Tsunemori talking about how they weren't just 'ships passing in the night', we see the book. The idea being that they were very similar. If Kogami had a psycho-pass immunity as Makishima did, his sense of justice may never have developed and he could have turned out like Makishima.

My thoughts on the ending:

I suppose though it seems like characters just swapped places in the end...

I liked how it ended. Things are pretty much settled and closed up, but there's still enough characters left to do more if they wanted (I was half-expecting everyone to get killed off), and all of the relevant questions were basically answered. Good ending to a great series. Maybe something more exciting would have more appeal, but I basically like how they wrapped things up with a discussion on the state of the world, and particularly, Akane's take on the nature of enforcers at the end there. Really enjoyable series with some cool ideas to mull over. I'll very likely buy it when it's released in North America.

.
Akane was always the main character in this show becuase she was the one narrating this show from day 1 and so we see her growth and it ended with her as the director was a pretty good one... . but She desperately wanted to save Kogami ... Akane has to make a wise decision in the end , sooner or later she must learn her way around Sybil. Such a frustrating position with no other good option.

I had a feeling that nothing big was going to happen to Sybil at the end ....even if Makishima was succesful or not . or was he?

Indeed Kogami is becoming like Makishima but their sence of justice is not the same. I always had a problem with Kogami strong desire to KIll Makishima becuase I only think his main motiviation is revenge and secondary is to stop him from doing more of what he has been doing.

Like I said , I felt somehow unsatisfied but I think Urobuchi did that in purpose,

I would say if there is another Pscho Pass
that it will happen in a different time , that there would be a passing of time and our remaining characters are older...

If there is an OVA here and there , a nice prequel would be cool too... like how Sybil began , or how Makishima was and Kogami too..

Just a funny note in the end with Ginoza and his glasses , i guess I wont be buying that frame anytime soon even though I will be cosplaying him lol

but in the end ....I would prefer a male one in the end though....I kinda didnt like that choice

I'm not satisfy with the ending. Hoping for more shows in the OVAs or something.
