Episode 5

I gotta say, Misaki Yata is a pretty cool dude this episode especially with his skateboard during the fight against Saruhiko. Too bad the fight had to end it like that when it was getting to its highest point.

Also, is it just me or does Seri look sort of like Aria Link from Tegami Bachi?

Just started it. Seems okay and original, but I don't particularly enjoy all the fan-service, lol, with all the boobs and etc. Kuroh's tape recorder is cute. x3

Episode 5

MOre fancy animation with fighting scenes.I find it very pretty. I really like Fukuyama's character Yata a lot , he is Mr Grumpy. Mamuro's character is ... I cant explain it but I actually like his delivery of his lines and I still am amazed at all the different characters Sawashiro san is doing this season.

I sure want to cosplay as Yata but damm I cant move that way ha hah a ha

I still find this anime interesting and the cleaner bots got different voices , its just too funny

Ep 5 was great minus the really stupid long panty shot towards the end.

yes that shot was pretty long....

So far there are 5 chapter of the manga written according to

http://k-project.wikia.com/wiki/Chapter_5

It seems the manga has a different storyline from the anime ,it looks like a prequel but I am curious where the anime story leads to.

anyway back to the seiyuu , I cant still get over the fact that Nakamura is Rikio, the blonde big dude who is with Yata.

Episode 6 looks like it's going back in time. The end shot of the Homra crew definitely had Fushimi in it.

To be honest, I found this episode almost mind-numbingly boring. It's all style and very little substance. I can't say this is as bad as Guilty Crown--yet--but I certainly don't find the story very appealing.

It is understandable that this anime can get boring because there are too many characters and they are not developing them .They are banking on the mystery behind Shiro kun's character and the murder of one of HOMRA's clansmen Totsuka .So they are only developing Shiro , and who he really is. So far I am curious as well .

WE are basically thrown in the middle of 2 clans and all their magic wielding members and in their search for the murderer .In a very flashy manner , So we end up not developing any emotional attachment to any of the characters and therefore don't care about the story.

Although I can say that the individual characters are indeed more interesting and somewhat over the top but definitely colorful.

I am hoping though that the story does not die or fall flat since the manga is the prequel to the anime. I would think they want their viewers to buy the manga.

I think the next episode is all about the Homra clan and Totsuka. Fushimi also knew Totsuka .His seiyuu is Kaji kun.

K is secretly a complex show. From the moment Neko introduced herself things became clear to me. When Neko introduced herself she says "wagahai wa neko de aru" which translates into I am a cat. To quote Wikipedia, I am a cat is about the uneasy mix of Western culture and Japanese traditions, and the aping of Western customs.

As seen with the first episode, the mix of blue, green, and red filters is symbolic of the uneasy mix of cultures in I am a cat. Rather than cultures, it is about the clash between Howling Flame (HOMRA) and Sceptre 4; Yashiro, Neko, and Kuroh are the "cats" of this show and it revolves around their involvements and encounters with Howling Flame and Sceptre 4.

I definitely missed the "I am a cat" reference, and if true, is a nice touch. I definitely noticed the color scheme. This show has beautiful art and some nice symbolism. But what about character development? What about plot? Lots of characters and nice art isn't enough, hence my "style over substance" remark. The plot is pretty thin. What we've learned has been stretched out over 5 episodes, with episode 5 being the worst. Having to watch "Keystone Cops" without the humor was more than a little annoying and the nice fight scene did little to alleviate that.

I'm not done with this show yet, and maybe I'm being unduly hard on it right now. But I am concerned that this is just going to be a pretty mess that I'll regret watching right up to the end.
