I really enjoyed it, but after episode 17 it wen't all down hill for one reason. And I understand if people don't care if it doesnt follow the manga. But here is my review of the whole series.

Yeah Magi is indeed very popular over in Japan.
So far the anime is ok but annoying. At first I really didnt like the character design and I got over that. I really love Kaji as a seiyuu but man his character is whiny as heck. I havent check the manga yet so I dont how much of the story they veered off. Sometime production company does that when they are trying to extend the anime since the figures are looking very good. |

Im quite enjoying the show to be honest, Yes it has its faults personally the rip off names don't really bother me its not as if the story of Aladin is actually true its just a highly abstract reworking.
Iv'e watched to eisode 25 im guessing im invested enough into the characters that I will see the series through, having not read the manga I can't help shake the feeling this will be a long series. |

Absolutely LOVE Magi. Definitely my type of large cast anime and I really am hoping for a long series. It seems unlikely it'll be short considering the sheer amount of characters O_O
It took me some time to get into it (about 8 episodes) and then it stayed awesome for awhile then teetered back off to being average. I really expected more from these last few episodes. |
