Yuuki ordered three glasses of lemonade and gulped them all down. By the time Vyse had payed for their meals (how many zeros where on that bill? she didn't bother to count), the sun was already below the horion and a blanket of darkness would have surrounded if not for the street lamps.

"Today was fun." She paused and turned around to start looking for a place to sleep. "Tomorrow, at the portal to Sunrise Plains. Don't be late!"

She turned around and started walking off.

"Hey bartender," Wolf said as he held out his glass for another drink. "I'm aiming for the achievement, 'longest consecutive playtime', think I'll get it?"
He listened in as the girl behind him ordered three glasses of lemonade.
"Oh well," Wolf got up and turned towards the exit. "I just hope there's another bar on the next floor."

He had found himself surrounded by the first pull in the dungeon, a series of throw back kobolds reminiscent of the first level bosses room. Of course, these were much stronger and faster than those of old, but thats how the levels went in this game. He brought his shield up to block blow after blow, sparks flying off his defensive wall with each strike. He angled the shield away from each attack to ensure the highest probability that his equipment would receive the least amount of durability loss. He favored his shield, had grown accustomed to its weight and size and would rather not have to replace it so soon.

His feet dug little circles in the ground as he was made to turn with each weapon leveled against him. Although they were low level mobs, they were programmed with the basic pack tactics and as such they would repeatedly strike at his back when one was attending to his front. He grinned slightly as he watched them, knowing that they could only hurt him in so much as he let them, but he liked to see the fruits of his labor come to life... a childhood dream made real and tangible before him now.

Slamming the bottom edge of his shield into the kobolds chin, he sent the beast reeling backwards under the force of the blow. Spinning quickly on the heel of his foot, he struck out at the opponent behind him even as it swung to strike at his head. His sword parried its in mid strike, and the blade followed through, piercing its body somewhere between its neck and chest. Hovering in the air for only a brief moment before the enemy avatar before him shattered like so much glass into the wind.

Turning back, he brought his shield back up just in time to shrug off another weapons strike. He leaned his body back ever so slightly to force the shorter creature to raise its weapon higher to strike at him. As the blade swung down he met it high with his shield and holding it there for the briefest of moments, the length of time it would take the kobold to pull his weapon around the width of his defense was fractions of a second... which was more than enough for him to react, his form switching to an offensive posture as his own blade swung out from under to shield. Cutting the beasts legs out from under him, the creature shattered from existence the moment it touched the ground.

Finally only one remained, its AI not programmed to retreat from battle like a town NPC might, it charged at him with as much ferociousness as it was designed to muster. It leapt at him, bladed weapon held high in the air ready to cleave him in half. Stepping forward as though climbing a stair, Heathcliff bright his shield high once again and slammed it into the kobold's body, knocking it to the ground in a vicious body blow. Placing a boot to the smaller creatures chest before it could recover from the shock, he held it down and stabbed it in the head.

Even before the window popped up alerting him to earned experience and loot, a small chattering of applause began to erupt from around him. He tapped the accept button on the window to remove it from view and then sheathed his sword. Turning around with a grin on his face, he waved the rest of his party forwards on route to the bosses chamber and gave a small bow the few front liners that had been watching. "It's no wonder they say he earned the title «The Strongest Man»..." he heard from the crowd before passing on out of earshot.

He checked his inventory one more time. "Yup, almost out of drinks." Wolf kept his distance from the crowd of people that were scouting the boss monster. "The monsters on this floor have gotten too easy. Upon calculating their possible attacks, I can easily find multiple openings. Even with such a heavy two-handed sword, I can evade their simple attacks."

The crowd cheered and the lead man continued forward. "We've scouted most of this place already, the boss shouldn't be too far ahead." Wolf sheathed his sword on his back vertically because it was almost as big as he was. He continued forward with caution.

"Did you hear? They have almost reached the boss!"

Yuuki's ears picked up a conversation just around the corner, and she stopped abruptly as to not be noticed.

"I know, I know! Almost time to pack up our bags and leave!" The girls left, their giggling fading as they got farther away.

Dashing off towards the portal, she crashed into a man and apologized quickly, making a hasty recovery so she could make it in time for the big fight. She smiled wildly, as she was extremely pleased and thrilled for another battle. Blood-thirsty, even- but you dont spill blood in the game. Bummer, really. Her long, blue hair billowed as she practically threw herself at the portal, transporting herself with a savage grin on her face.

Wolf picked up his pace as the main group approached the boss room.

"Here it is, huh?" He mumbled to himself. Just then, a girl bumped into him from behind. She quickly apologized and ran off before Wolf could say anything.

The boss, only inches away, made Wolf grin with excitement, an emotion he rarely shows.

Wolf stepped through the portal. "It's game time."

Standing outside the massive stone doors to the boss chamber, he confered with a few advance scouts as the crowd looked on. Flanked on either side of him were older looking men, clad in white and red tabards that seemed to be paying less attention to the conversation and more so to the crowd milling about them. Heathcliff reached into the air, tapping at an invisible frame and dragging it down until the transparent hue of his menu appeared. A few windows later he held a small brown book in his hands, thumbing through its pages as he nodded at something that was being said to him.

Reaching out, he clasped one of the men on the shoulder, giving it a brief squeeze and bowed his head in his direction. Stepping away, he stood in front of the massive double doors and faced the crowd. The older men moved to flank him on either side, without indication of command from Heathcliff himself, and took positions around him. Extending a single hand in the air, he waited quietly until the clamour of assorted voices died down low enough for him to be heard.

"We have verified that this is the Boss chamber for the floor. As far as we can tell, the notes passed down from the Beta's are accurate. Although I would caution anyone joining us to remember the folly faced by the first chamber crew. We can never be certain what has been changed since game release and must face every combat with the due dilligence required of it. Maintain an adequate margin for safety may we all see each other again on the third floor!"

He took in the cheer of the crowd for a moment longer, letting it sink in before turning his back on the crowd. The men surrounding him never moved, constantly facing the crowd even as they continued to cheer. Placing a hand on either side of the door frame, he leaned into it and slowly pushed the massive doors open. The dark room on the other side lay ominous and quiet. The sounds of footsteps rang out across the walls; first his, then the others that followed. Soon the braziers that lined the walls sparked to life and illuminated a scene which would challenge their very right to exist...

The sunlight crept through the curtains and lit the small room of the inn. Vyse realized that he was running late and jumped out of bed. After throwing a handful of Col at the innkeeper, he darted out the door and headed for the portal. He'll be damned if he misses another boss fight. He threw himself through the portal and landed hard on his feet before bursting into a sprint. As he approached the boss room he scanned the crowd for someone, anyone, that he knew.

They were standing still.

Everyone.

They waited for the elaborately carved doors to be opened. The only thing that caught her attention was Vyse, who had just arrived, and he looked out of breath. Resisting the urge to chuckle, she walked over to him, tapping him lightly on the shoulder. He turned around, and seemed relieved to see her. Yuuki wondered why.

"Intend to fight?" He asked her, and she just huffed, not liking to be made fun of. "Just make sure not to get killed!" He joked, and Yuuki, hearing some chattering, turned her attention away from the boy.

"It is you who is the one that must recieve the advice, not me. But, i wish you the best of luck!" She walked back into the crowd. The tension and fear was evident on all of the gatherer's faces, with the exception of a few men and Yuuki herself. She pushed her way to the front, not even caring for all the dissapproving glances she recieved. Opening her menu, she scanned the area to total the approximity of all the players that would soon be dead.

'Hmm.. about 50 people came. That would mean about 40 are to die.' She finally reached the door just as a tall man starting pushing the towering door open. Glaring her red eyes with intensified ferosity, she drew her double-egded blade, prepared for what was about to come and smiled devilishly while she licked her chapped lips. The man walked in and Yuuki followed closely behind, not caring about the follower's footsteps that approached helplessly. A silent tune rang out as they walked further into the dark room, the only thing lighting the cavern being two bright torches at either end of the room. As soon as the last of the follower's had filed in, the doors swung back into their original position.

Yuuki didn't care. She just wanted to fight the boss, and she'll be damned if she wasn't the one to kill it. The minions and boss materialized, and Yuuki grinned as the name Trixen, The Wooden Terror, appeared. The boss looked like a gaudy scarecrow and the minions that flanked him on all sides except for the front, looked like a bunch of retarded crows.

Hadn't really liked crows, nor scarecrows for a matter of fact. They always creeped her out.

She let out a bloody cry and ran towards a crow, slahing and stabbing for all it was worth as the players behind her did the same.

He hid in shadows as the fight began. He, himself was fast but his swings were incredibly slow. He had to choose each step wisely.

"Switch," Wolf said calmly as he Dashed next to the closest crow. His movement was so fast it was almost as if he teleported onto the battlefield. But on the other hand, his swing was so slow that a sloth could see it coming. BOOM! He knocked the sentinel crow forward as the hit collided.

"Switch," He calmly said again as he Dashed back into the shadows.

"I've got it!" Cried Vyse as he leapt forward and stabbed at the now stunned crow. The thrust pierced the black birds chest and an instant later it dispersed and disappeared.

"One down, 2 to go," he said as he wheeled around, searching for his next target. Suddenly a black shadow appeared above him and before he had time to react, he found himself flat on his back. The crow flew upwards again and banked around, lining him up for a second run. Vyse climbed to his feet, retrieved his sword and readied himself for the attack.

The crow continued on it's course, bloodlust in its eyes. Vyse could see this, but he paid it no attention as he let a hint of a grin cross his face. Then, when he knew that the crow was too close to evade him, he stepped forward and with incredible speed he leapt into the air and unleashed «Fell Crescent». His sword collided with the bird and sent it reeling towards the ground. "Switch!"

Yuuki leapt at the crow and placed her vacant hand onto the hilt of her sword, jabbing the falling bird with exact precision. It hit the ground and shattered, leaving Yuuki with a triumphant grin. She raced to where the players were killing the last crow and swung the tip across it's body, jumping back when she saw the hp gauge drop to a flashing red. The other players killed off the rest of it's life, and it too shattered.

The only thing in their way now: Trixen, the boss.

Yuuki could barely contain her raw excitement. She dashed forward and parried Trixen's scyth, both hands on the blade. Jumping back, she dove right back in again, just barely letting a few stray hairs get sliced off as she slipped through the gap between it's arms and went into full-on slashing frenzy. She grinned like a deranged person and back-peddled, eyes wide in a sub-conscious state.

"Switch!" She called out, ready to go back in an the kill the godforsaken monster, once and for all.

To see it's crimson blood, but that still won't happen.

It is a game, after all?

With all the crows destroyed, Vyse turned his attention to the only enemy left, Trixen. As he closed in on the monster, he assessed it's movements, trying to pick the best point to attack from. As he came within striking distance, the towering beast directed it's gaze towards him.

Before it had time to strike Vyse was already attacking, slashing and hacking at any angle he could. He parried one blow, then as the next one came he sidestepped to the right and circled around to its flank before blocking another blow. Vyse held the attack, their blades locked, and yelled "Yuuki, Finish it!".

Wolf found his chance to strike.

He exited the shadows once more and attacked Trixen from behind while his attention was locked onto everyone else. "<<Rage Spike>>," He said.

He vanished into the shadows before the giant beast could turn his attention to him.
