He means he's for medicinal marijuana but not for recreational use.

why? it's a plant with astounding benefits that anyone can grow? not exactly like it's a scarcity.

I can't answer for him. But some people just like it for its purely medicinal benefits and not for anything else. I'm generalizing here but it's like someone who wants to take painkillers even when they don't need it. personally, i think cannabis should be decriminalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol. but i can understand where people like kakashi are coming from.

Last year they made pot legal where I live. Legal to those over the age of 21 that is. Now I don't really care if people want to destroy what little brain cells they have. However, I think they need to actually read the law! Just because it's legal doesn't mean you can light up on the sidewalk! Just like you can't walk down the street or drive a car while drinking a beer, the same goes for pot! I'm sick of smelling pot everywhere I go, it doesn't smell good! Smoke at home potheads, not in public. I say they should read the law but maybe they don't have enough braincells left to do anything but order pot and pizza!

lol that thing about brain cells is such bullshit.

what exactly is your problem? you're pretty contentious. why would pharma researchers "be all over it" do you know why marijuana was demonized and illegalized? do you know who runs big pharma and the ties they have with unethical companies? do you know the side effects of the so called "cures" they give out? why would cannabis, a natural plant used therapeutically for thousands of years not provide benefits to health? there's hundreds of tests done on cannabis, take a look at them but be careful not to run in to a government propaganda site.

Yes, I'm clearly an argumentative know-it-all with a bad personality. I know why marijuana was demonized and criminalized (proper word) - it was to eliminate competition for a textile company that planned on marketing nylon. I know that big pharma is as morally bankrupt as big oil, and that chemotherapy sucks ass. I'm a research scientist (neuropharmacology) with loose morals and I could care less if you want to get high and think it's good for you.

Fine, all well and good, more power to you, whatever. But don't go around spreading rumors that getting high cures cancer because it doesn't. There are people who actually have cancer and have a chance of surviving if they take their shitty chemotherapy that makes them feel like they're going to die. However, if they stop taking their shitty chemotherapy and start rubbing hemp oil on themselves (or whatever), they will feel better for a while, and then they will die.

**Edit** I really don't care who smokes what, when, or with who. Personally I'm for decriminalization and regulation of all drugs, but generally for economic reasons.

ok, ill keep getting high and thinking it's good for me (it is)

^ yeah well, as long as i don't exhale it down someone's neck unwillingly it's not harming others, or me, it does hurt my pockets though so i'm for decriminalization to.

AruarianDance, tone it down. You're being combative to everyone who doesn't agree with you. Discussion doesn't work that way.

Anyway, if you want to cite something to kizna-chan, cite a more neutral source than a site that's pro-cannabis/marijuana. Something like this would have worked http://healthland.time.com/2013/01/15/new-research-questions-marijuanas-impact-in-lowering-iq/

Cool. Whatever. You certainly could be doing far worse things. But if you get diagnosed with cancer, try going to chemotherapy after you've burned one. You're more likely to live through it, and the pot will help you keep your food down.

No problem... and it looks to be two different independent studies from what I'm reading. but, the benefit of the link i put up is that it's not so blatant in its message of being pro-cannabis. a more neutral source like time (relatively speaking) gives people the idea that maybe there isn't such a hidden agenda embedded in the message of the story. which could be misconstrued if you're citing a website that's called cannabis.net.

Ps. don't double post. I'll edit that out for you. Done.

I smoked it from the age of 13 to until I was 19, often every day, it cost me a load of money and I never really got anything back from it, whilst it was enjoyable at first it, after a while it just became habit and bongs just replaced cigarettes. I stopped when I ended up with fluid on my lungs from a lowered immune system and constant smoking, so I don't really have anything good to say about it nor would I recommend you start smoking it. choose life kids! XD

however I will say that most of the negative things you hear about it such as it being a gateway drug is bull and it's definitely 100x safer and better for your heath than alcohol, plus studys show unless you are in your early teens or have a mental illness, the effects such as paranoia and anxiety are unlikely to affect you. so i'd say it's not really bad in moderation, but it is a drug, and all drugs (including alcohol) are open to abuse, and when you abuse a drug it abuses you right back XD

Yeah i went through that stage, i had some fun with it. It's not realy my thing though. Also i had a bad experience with weed laced with elephant tranqualizer and had a baaad anxiety attack.

If ever again i'll just smoke it casualy, and not to get stoned.

Honestly, I'd rather ingest it via delicious cookies/brownies rather than smoke it up. Bad for the lungs and all you know!

I don't think its so bad if its smoked at a low dose... but when its gets to a higher dose it gets worse. At a high dose the short term effects are not appealing and its bad for driving too cause your balance, coordination, and reaction time is affected. And its even worse for long term effects cause it can give lung problems and possible cancer, memory loss, etc.

I never tried it but I know a lot of people who has done it. I'm not really interested in smoking it but brownies sounds good, haha. However I doubt I would happen to eat it cause no one offers any :c xD

It's weird typing about this cause just today I gave out a presentation about cannabis ..
