Honestly, out of the forums I've been a part of, the community here just seems pretty fun and laid-back. There seems to be less trolling here, and there are legitimately some very intelligent, genuine, and friendly posters you come across. A good mix and balance of people from all walks of life, all cultures, between 0 and 70 - I learn something new every day.

Unlike others in this thread I don't spend much time in the forums, Therefore I have no real opinion on the community. However I do like the website. A lot.

I like Crunchyroll because I think their distribution system is the future. I like Crunchyroll because paying a small susbscription fee gives you unlimited access to their library and simulcasts. I LOVE Crunchyroll because you can also access everything (except for the latest episodes and a few series) for free.

Crunchyroll and Netflix keep me away from illegal downloads. Same enjoyment, better karma. I like Crunchyroll because of the example they set for the industry: easy access and fair prices fight piracy better than any draconian law.

Legal anime of really high quality. Streaming is fast and I love the proffessional style of the site.

I like CR for anime. I mostly watch over my iTouch because it is more accessible to me than opening my own laptop at night to watch anime.
Also, because of CR, my childhood love for anime had come back. I've always appreciated spending $7 per month for the membership because of the benefits and quality streaming.

However, I don't have much say on forums here as I used to be really active member until I decided to not go on as much as I used to.

Crunchyroll supports animes and is affordable and convenient.

Don't have to go out and rent and then return DVD's.

Everything should be like Crunchyroll... just stream and pay monthly subs.

two words: Legal, anime

if more anime were available on sites like crunchyroll we would have nowhere near as much illegal downloading. If it's economically feasible then it is the best way to respond to the evergrowing content piracy endemic on the internet.
