My favorite breed of cat, which sadly I'm not legally allowed to own is a Savannah Cat. They are brilliant These cats are a hybrid made from Servals (African Wild Cat) and domesticated cats. These are big cats, twice the size of a normal house cat. They can also jump incredibly high. There is a video on youtube where a guy plays with his Savannah cat, Ruby and gets her to jump 8 feet high. Savannah cats are also stunning to look at, they remind me of a Sphynx.

I wonder if it's safe to keep it as a pet though. From what I've read and the videos I have watched, I would say they are safe. They get along well with kids too so it seems. Though It's partially wild, so perhaps they have temper flares every so often, I'm not sure, I will read up. But they are very athletic and powerful cats I'm sure if one wanted to, it could tear you up.
