2019, Divergence Ratio 1.048596. The near future, where a device popularly called the PokeCom, packaged with PhoneDroid OS, spreads, bringing the Augmented Reality world close to existence.

Chuuoutanegashima High School's Robot Research Club is in danger of losing its club status. Kaito Yashio, one of only two members, is only obsessed with robot fighting games, showing no interest in the Robo Club even in this situation. The reckless, useless club head, Akiho Senomiya, aims to complete a giant robot, struggling hard to avoid losing the club's status.

Then, one day, Kaito discovers the A.R. annotation that becomes the Kimishima Report. Written in that report is the indictment of someone named Kou Kimishima's conspiracy involving the world.

A series doesn't have to have begun to discuss it. When CR does those simulcast announcements, aren't there posts discussing the series as well? Only difference is that we don't know who's simulcasting it, although it's probably going to be Funimation since they have the last two series.

I agree. The only thing he's "forgotten" to do is add the links to the General Anime Discussion Thread, which I PM'd him about. I think a lot of people either forget or don't know about the usefulness of that thread.

As for Robotics;Notes, this is the show I'm most looking forward to. I'm not sure it can live up to Steins;Gate, but I am sure I'll be entertained.

Those posts in the announcements aren't technically discussions per se but comments regarding their expectations for the show. I treat discussion threads as discussions for the episodes of the show. The reason why a few others and I am arbitrary about creating these threads early is that there will be a lack of discussion until the show actually begins. We refrain establishing early threads to await further announcements; by waiting for these announcements we can provide legal stream links in the threads informing others where they can watch it.

As for who will license this show, we'll just have to wait. Funimation did obtain the two previous series but they didn't provide a simulcast for the shows. They're likely to announce their simulcast series next week in NYAF/NY Comic Con.

To be fair, Chaos;Head was broadcast before the beginning of the "simulcast era". While Crunchyroll indeed had a few simulcasts in 2008, they were overwhelmingly Gonzo titles. (I think the very short window simulcast of Strike Witches may have been the only exception).

Steins;Gate came in during the time when CR had a close relationship with Kadokawa, something the went away when NicoNico.com came on the scene (due to Kadokawa's relationship with that site's parent company). Since that site quit the simulcast business, Kadokawa appears to have remained neutral, rather than renewing their relationship with Crunchyroll.

All things considered, I think the simulcast probability needle tilts a bit more in Funimation's direction, but it certainly isn't pegging the stop on their side of the meter.

Considering that CR got both Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate, I am thinking its pretty likely we will get Robotics as well... but Im not holding my breath or betting money on it either.

Promising episode, I found myself captivated by it. MC seems a bit dull, but I'm sure he'll pick up his pace once things get more interesting. Curious as to how this will relate to Steins;Gate, seeing as we saw the Reading Steiner for a brief moment.

I thought the MC was the girl thats always featured in previews and promos and stuff.
