Me too. I panned it in the beginning but for some reason I kept watching and it has gotten way better for sure. Look forward to it every week, have really all season but really do so now.

I think the problem with some folks when it comes to animes they seem to want action, carnage, a blitz of activity, etc all at once or within a few episodes and they forget what it's like to enjoy a lengthy story even if there are slow points. I actually get sick of seeing 13 episode anime series a lot of the time. So much so I tend to skip over them for 24 episode 51 episode series and the like. Seems like a lot of animes these days try to cram everything in so quickly you're left not satisfied. That's why I enjoyed series like Eureka Seven, Code Geass I & II, A Certain Magical Index I & II, Blood +(not adding Naruto or Bleach because those series in number dwarf these). I guess I'm just a stickler for a long story with developed characters, etc...

Funny, I was just thinking the opposite... That 12-14 is the perfect number to tell a story without fluff or filler but you're right that a longer series works well at times. When I watch a series weekly it needs to grab me right away but if it is already finished and I know it is good then I can push through a slow start and push through some slow arcs but I would rather that each episode have a real purpose for the telling of the story. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a beach episode occasionally but...
Cheaper to buy one cour than two or four too and I do like to buy my favorites. Some exceptions are seven discs for 26-28 episodes.

I see your point but I feel less fulfilled after a majority of those short anime. Almost like they are hurried to cram in everything in 13 episodes.

Another great episode! Really picked up for me the past couple of episodes, better interactions, good story. A point. Stuff about robots, you know, the ones in the title of the show, Robotics;Notes... 8 episodes left now, hope it continues.

Damn, I did not expect anything like that at all this episode. Although I will say that I am glad we are (hopefully) getting to the interesting part of the story,
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It was a shame to see her go like that. Hopefully Glasses is alright though. I'd hate to see the group have to deal with two dead friends. Luckily, this is a show, so he will probably come away alive, but Jesus, you can't kill off a relatively important side character and crush a main character in a cliff-hanger. I didn't even remember that a robot was falling on him until I started writing this. I can't take that much action in one episode. It's like they saved all the action until now. Next week should be interesting though. |

Shocked... all I can say... fireman's carry? Anything would have worked? In the VN too I presume there is no avoiding it... didn't know the character that well but still, very sad and shocking. Need to watch something fun now...
