It met my expectations, which I'm pleased about. Looking forward to episode 2. Gotta say though, a lot of interesting shoujo anime this season. Haven't met a lot of shoujo anime that I like so finding two in one reason is pretty good- the other being Kamisama Kiss.

Done watching.
I guess this will be my second Shojo I will be watching this season.
The episode itself was great, the animation was amazing. Music nothing special for me as of yet.
Just waiting now to see how the series will flow.

I love this manga! So upset CR didn't license it.

Ditto here! When I look at CR Fall lineup it makes me wonder how is it that something like "Girls and Panzer" make it to the lineup, and "Sukitte ii na yo" does not.... If CR doesn't improve it's lineup, there's no point in renovating my subscription.

In any case, this means looking for other means to secure this anime as it looks really good! I'm also a fan of the manga, so it'll be interesting to check how the animated characters stand up to the manga ones!

As its been mentioned before, CR doesnt pass up titles, they make bids or something to that effect on all the anime coming out on a particular season. Some of them automatically go to certain providers.

Something to that effect, they aren't acting like Funimation and Fox did in the early days of anime where they brought over whatever they felt like.

Yeah was thinking the same about my premium membership. I am keeping it for at least this season because I love SAO but after that if they don't start to get more shoujo titles then no reason for a premium.
I watched the first episode of Say I Love you and I can't wait for more. I hope they get to Kai, I really want to see the anime version of him.

I looked everywhere no one licensed Say I love you for North America and I have noticed that many of the shoujo titles that are released in Japan don't get licensed for North American viewing so I don't think it's like you said that CR bids on everything. Also from a business stand point they wouldn't bid on every show every season. If it's a bad show with not much fan base then they will lose money unless they happen to get the license for extremely cheap or thrown in with another show. I know why CR didn't get Hajimemashite Kamisama, because Viz has the manga license but I would really like to know why CR didn't get this one if nothing more than to satisfy my curiosity. Also I love it when I see guys excited about shoujo titles its silly but I automatically think guys who like shoujo titles are good guys.

Damn, I love this show. I thought it was going to follow a specific formula for this type of show and in a way it did, but it pulled it off in a way that I like. The show is looking alot like Kimi ni Todoke in that unpopular girl and popular guy and take it from there. I don't see her getting popular, but who knows?

It's a cute anime.

It's similar to Kimi ni Todoke, Sawako does not have any friends either, after a long story she got new friends and stuff. It's also like Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, a quiet girl who falls inlove with a noisy ones. But Haru is annoying, Yamato is better than him, although Haru has good grades.

I really like Kimi ni Todoke, it's so sweet and innocent that it really pulls me in to the story and emotions. The problem I had with Tonari no Kaibutsu is that it takes way too many chapters for no reason for the 2 main characters to get together. You can literally skip about 2 volumes and not be lost at all.

That CR bids on every show isn't supposition; it is something they have stated in the past.

Just because CR bids on a show doesn't mean that the production committee member will find the bid acceptable, or that some other committee member won't object for some reason.

Frankly, until the CR lineup page is complete, it would be a bit risky to declare that CR isn't getting a specific show unless it is announced as licensed by someone else. With that in mind, also keep in mind Funimation has not announced their simulcast licenses (although they clearly do pick and chose, and this doesn't seem like the type of show they would typically pick).

As to Kami-sama Hajimemashita, it would only make sense for Viz to be the reason for CR not getting the show if Viz intended on getting it for themselves. It is clear they don't intend on simulcasting it. (I don't recall Viz ever announcing a simulcast after the series has already premiered in Japan). Having the show appear on CR would do just as good a job (if not better) of promoting interest in the manga.

Also just because they stated it in the past doesn't mean it is still true but anyway I wont hold my breath for them to get Say I love you since it already started airing on the 6th. Maybe it will be like Kamisama and CR will come out with a last minute add, a girl can wish.

Funimation was the one that got Kamisama:

Suki-tte Ii na yo. was not one of the ones they got, so it is still open.

While it premiered on October 6 (U.S. time), it doesn't air on the last station on its schedule until close to 6 days later.

At this point, there is very little the CR could announce that wouldn't be either a delayed start or a latecast (i.e., simulcast with a later broadcast, not the premiere).
