Read in Japanese and you'd be much farther, chapter 36 in tankobon 9 came out months ago. Chapter 40 in tankobon 10 comes out on January 11th. The copyright violation people are slow on this one. Wish Kodansha would license it properly for those who would like to read it in English as there is obviously demand for it.

I honestly wanted to punch her in the face for this last episode! Anyway, I have a quick question about the anime. I noticed that there wasn't any notification on when the next episode would be up. Are they going on a break or was that last episode the end of the season? Also, for you all that read the manga, what website do you use to get them (in English obviously)?? Requesting an online manga reader site that doesn't have the required license is not allowed. ~ahtl

I finally picked it up and the stuff about hairdressers, specifically Yamato's brother makes sense now. Introduces a new girl at the hair salon who likes Yamato's brother. Manga chapter 35 spoilers: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Do not read chapter 35 unless you are somewhere that you can cry without being too embarrassed. I read it at my daughter's soccer practice and luckily I have a cold to hide my sniffles and man tears. If you can't read Japanese you might be confused by the raws as Yamato's brother's girlfriend looked a lot like Mei. And Yamato looks a lot like his brother other than having darker hair. The chapter is about Yamato's brother and his girlfriend who were engaged but she died in a car accident. OMG, so sad... But don't worry, Mei didn't die! But it explains why he doesn't cut Mei's hair, because of the resemblance. Will finish 36 shortly, in time to watch the anime! Should be great!! ...36 Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Mei has a hair emergency ... Edage or "branch hair" which they describe as split, and then as string cheese in case you don't get what they mean by branch hair. Of course Yamato likes her hair long. Yamato's brother has to rescue Mei's hair because the other girl has the day off. Emotional stuff again. Episode 11 was quite different in the manga. They are combining chapters. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide In the manga Daichi comes to pick up Nagichan so they spend the night together alone... and they don't fall asleep right away but still, nothing X rated happens. The Megumi junk food bit happened after the Land stuff. Another one of my favorite manga chapters should be coming up! While fast paced so far they have at least animated my favorite moments from the manga. Too bad the manga isn't licensed over here so everyone can read it as it goes into much more depth. The anime is really fast...

D: Oh well.. I guess I'll just have to try to muddle through Japanese language manga if I want to read it. Wish I could install japanese language like they do in the Matrix. sigh Also is it me, or did they completely skip the part where its explained why Megumi gives her friend the cold shoulder?

No more spoilers from me for a few weeks until volume ten arrives... I am caught up on this one (only ten or twenty more series to catch up on now, LOL). They have skipped a ton of manga over the past two episodes and jumbled the order and just plain changed stuff too. At this point I expect a fully wrapped up anime ending so we will need to keep reading the manga to find out what happens.

It was sweet. Mei's mom is so cool. And the kiss was nice. Sad that theres only one ep left. sigh This show is the best of the season in its category. <3
