I looked everywhere no one licensed Say I love you for North America and I have noticed that many of the shoujo titles that are released in Japan don't get licensed for North American viewing so I don't think it's like you said that CR bids on everything. Also from a business stand point they wouldn't bid on every show every season. If it's a bad show with not much fan base then they will lose money unless they happen to get the license for extremely cheap or thrown in with another show. I know why CR didn't get Hajimemashite Kamisama, because Viz has the manga license but I would really like to know why CR didn't get this one if nothing more than to satisfy my curiosity. Also I love it when I see guys excited about shoujo titles its silly but I automatically think guys who like shoujo titles are good guys.

Someone else explained it better than I did, they probly dont bid on *every* title, but they bid on the ones that are popular.

I love shoujo manga and anime, girl-girl romance is nice too (and not because of the pervy typical guy reason either). I'm a hopeless romantic, so stories like this give me warm fuzzies.

--

Just finished episode 2, and they seem to be skipping some of the story. Its still amazingly good with it condensed though. I love the way they draw Mei, and her VA is just how I hear her sound when I read the manga.

It's times like these I am very thankful for fansubs and the work they do.

It's nice to know guys that are all about ecchi, so tired of good story lines ruined by random panty shots

I am used to shoujo manga getting condensed when made into anime but I am just so happy this one got made into one. I agree with you, the voices are how I imagined too.

I completely agree! I would never get to read some of the manga and see some anime if I stuck to completely "legal" means of getting it.

Ye, another lovely episode and a lot of kisses this time. I'm wondering when the manga will resume again as it's been a bit slow but the latest episode was a 5/5 in my book.

Why did no one license this show or why did the show not let it be licensed? A real shame.

It is being streamed by niconico.jp, and is one of five shows* they are streaming that no company in the United States have announced as licensed.

During the past several seasons, I can recall there being one and less frequently two of the shows they had that didn't at least get licensed for simulcast by a U.S. company, but if there were ever more than that, it was over a year ago, and I can't ever recall when the total that were MIA on this side of the Pacific was as many as this.

NicoNico.jp shows they licensed the show via King Records, and those shows have typically come to CR via Sentai.

* The other four are Little Busters and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Seitokai no Ichizon 2, and Wooser no Sono Higurashi

Interesting indeed. I hope that like Upotte and Ebiten, CrunchyRoll will get to show them a few months down the road as simulcasts with TV broadcasts. Hope, hope, hope...

I think CR getting Ebiten makes it much more likely that CR will be the new Seitokai no Ichizon when it is broadcast, which I assume will be next season. The real odd ones out are the other 4 series, since those are TV broadcasts Nico Nico streams at a later date.

As mentioned, I expected that if CR got Suki-tte Ii na yo., it would have come via Sentai, and I would have placed high odds on the same being true for Little Busters!. Given that both premiered on October 6, I have to wonder if a deal might have been in process, and what happened with TAN on October 4 gave the licensor behind each cold feet. It may be coincidence, but note that none of the Crunchyroll simulcasts announced after that date have been associated with Sentai.

Too bad, there goes my hope unless things are just held up. Really didn't want to resort to any fansubs this sesson :(

Thanks for the great info, as always.

There are way to many good titles not on CR to avoid fan subs.

As for the anime, I feel like I have left my manliness far behind because I love the show so far

Just seems to be five shows including this one that aren't in the US plus the Viz shows on Hulu that I can't watch. Of course Sukitte is one of the shows I really wanted to watch, and I wasn't worried at all about my manliness LOL

It is annoying that NicoNico refuses to show it to me, leaving only fansubs. I would love legal raws as I don't even need the subs!

I like Mei & Yamoto relationship the most because I find it to be more enchanted & realistic in emotions compare to My Little Monster's Shizuku & Yoshida which are a great couple but more of a comedic type couple due to the way they act around with each other.

This is turning into a sweet show, but I expect more drama will be coming soon.

I'd say it's a nice bookend to My Little Monster. They both deal with "improbable" romances, but have very different approaches.
