Watched it and thought it was alright. It'll be interesting how to manage to stretch this out seeing as the first kiss has already struck in episode 1.

Episode 2:

I was absolutely loving this anime when I was watching the first episode. And the episodes up to 4 are also still really good, but I have a feeling that since they got together so quickly it is going to be more melodramatic and over-all less "feel good" than I prefer.

But that's just a hunch, since I haven't spoiled it for myself yet. Just has more of a "Bokura Ga Ita" vibe going right now than a "Kimi ni Todoke."

this manga has a little ecchi scenes in the future. i wonder if they are still gonna show that. it's not useless ecchi because the nudity made sense in the story. hopefully they would present it really well like pg-13 approved. anyway, i'm glad that crunchyroll's adding few shoujo titles lately. hope they'll continue this! the power of MOE!!

I agree that it is not similar to My Little Monster at all! I actually did a combined review of them on blog. :)

There are some striking similarities and coincidences but overall they are totally different in feel and look, execution, so on. Both are really good, I agree with your rankings as well.

I know! It is really amazing how two creative talents can take the same basic premise and create two such completely different works of fiction! The fact that they started in the same year in the same magazine is pretty funny too!

MAL says 13:

There are currently nine volumes of the manga but I haven't read them so I don't know how it is following the pace of the books and whether there is more than one season there. They are in my shopping cart at amazon.co.jp...

The translating has only gotten up to volume where I read it, and so far the show is following the manga almost exactly or it might be completely following it, I think its cutting out a bit of stuff, but Im not sure what because it feels like they are moving a long faster than in the manga.

Of course it could just be that Im not reading pictures. lol

I think they've cut a little bit from the manga, but really not much at all. It's sticking closely to the source material and I can't complain since I love it. Sure, there's a little bit of melodrama/angst later on, but not enough to take it out of the feel good side of things. That said, I've only read as far as what's been translated so I don't know what's to come in future

Love this manga and love that CR picked it up, even if it is 4 episodes in.
