Since canceling the account ends up taking away the time we already payed for I would assume theres a way to cancel auto renewal then? So please explain how to do that so I dont lose the 30 days I ALREADY payed for.

The way I understand it, if you cancel with 30 days or less then you lose those days, So if you only have 30 days, then I would recommend just waiting 29 days and then canceling then so as to not incur another charge.

thats not what im asking , i know about that as I stated, so instead I just want to cancel the auto renewal so at the end of the 30 days it wont renew. If there is no option to do that , ill be taking things to a whole new level .... btw for all who dint know funimation now offeres streaming with a much larger selection , if you want to check it out.

Just a note to so the idiots dont start flaming the post with useless crap, Iv seen the other posts. And yes , it is not legal to deny access when the subscription is based on you paying for 30 days access. However it perfectly fine as long as you can instead cancel auto renewal, which I have not been able to figure out how , or if its even an option , thats what im trying to find out now.

At the moment there is no way to cancel auto renewal for a user, you are not alone in thinking this is foolery.

It is going to change, but it won't happen straight away sadly. What I would suggest doing is contacting Starry or Bjaker. When users have cancelled their premium membership because they only wanted to stop auto-renewal, these two have been among the staff members who've been able to return the remaining premium membership days.

Try contacting Starry first though, because she will probably be able to contact you sooner than Bjaker.

I'm sorry, but a class action suit is not going to get you anywhere. You had to agree to their terms and services when you subscribed.

However, there is some hope for the future. Bjaker is not a fan of the current system and recently said that he is trying to get CR to change their subscription practices to match that of other online video services so that you will not lose any days if you cancel while having 30 days or fewer remaining.

If you have more than 30 days remaining you are able to stop the auto renewal without canceling service.

Howdy!

I've gone ahead and reactivated the remainder of your paid subscription.

The cancel / cancel the remainder of the subscription is a policy that I'm currently working to have overturned.

Also, when you do cancel a subscription there is a pop up that lets you know it will cancel the remainder of your subscription.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

Best,
-Baker

Then you dont know how a class action lawsuit works >.> @ chris, but either way I decided against it , my initial reaction was a bit childish , was having an off day . And thx btw bjaker that is mighty kind of you mate, and also on my comments about funimation , DISREGUARD THEM lol. They might have a better selection but HAHAHA you cant even watch any of it lol , maybe 1 or 2 eps before there crappy service goes native on you , they have by far THE worst service I have ever seen anyone charge for. Its riddled with bugs that make it unusable.

Actually I do. I never said that you couldn't file one, just that filing one won't really get you anywhere or do anything since you agreed to their terms. CR could also easily do what Sony did, and put in the terms and user agreement that users of their service are not allowed to file class action suits against them. (Sony did this because of the Sony Network being hacked)

You can sue anyone for anything in the US, but that doesn't mean you always win.
