Almost 1.5 million people share it, but 99.79 are male... meaning there are women out there with a very identifiably male name. My last name is more common among black people than white. Either there were a lot of people with my surname owning slaves, there was one person with my surname who owned a LOT of slaves, or when they were freed they just really liked my surname and took it for their own. I'm guessing the first.

Of course, on top of that, I've just always loved the name "Jim" (although I hate "Jimmy") shrug

I have considered changing it in the past but I can't really come up with anything I like more, although a slight spelling modification might be nice. Cory can be pretty gender neutral, too, so that's a plus.

Does anybody else get that way? Like I'm cool if my friends or strangers even go "Wassup bud?". But when people call me by name it just feels weird.
