I love my name. I get compliments on it all the time.Though many people think it's a color, jade is actually a gem stone and come in many colors. Not just green. I like my middle name too. My parents also named my other two siblings after gem stones.

I like my first name kevin, but i would or actually will drop my middle name legally i hate it plus there's no place that actually uses my middle name not in my school records or anything like that. the only thing that i seen my middle name be in is my birth certificate (i think) , passport, health insurance, and social security aside from those i don't exist with my middle name.

I guess I would change my name if I could back when it was decided -.- But I wouldn't in a million years do it now <.< It'd be too weird to just randomly change name [Unless you were some kind of undercover guy, but that'd be an Alias:P]

I've become rather tired of my first name. I keep out of respect for my parents though. If I chose to I wouldn't change it, I'd drop it and use my middle name (Vincent) as my first name. I'm sure my mother would have loved to change my last name but I refused. It's my family name and even though it's really hated by many I'll honor it and make it better.

Why can't childhood be a period where you have a temporary name and let say at 15 you formalize your name giving you an opportunity to change your name to a name that fits who you are. This makes perfect sense. I knew at 13 I should have been named Alexandra and after 30+ years I still feel that Alexandra would have been a more fitting name. But lets start with my mother carrying me for nine months and only thinking of boys names, I pop out and she likes herself so much she gives me her name Patricia but I couldn't be called Patricia I had to be called Patty, now think birkenstocks and bobbed hair I couldn't stand the mental degradation of living with the name Patty so I manipulated my name to Tricia as soon as I had freed myself of the subserviency to my parents but in took years before even family members could be trained to remember my name but several of them are quite doltish. Finally about a decade ago Tricia just didn't seem to fit either. Lets be honest most people think of a cheerleader when they hear the name Tricia and I had always been too introspective to be a cheerleader and just felt I needed a grownup name so I finally decided that I'd make the best out of a bad reality and settle with Pia. Although if you could formalize your name at 15 yrs. I'd now have a son name Hideo Kuze.
