I never really learned Japanese but I do know what a few phrases mean and how to greet myself. c:
Someone on Crunchy when I used to go on it taught me a little. (:

Are you stationed there? If you happen to be in the military. I was stationed w/ my family in Yokohama through the Navy years ago.

I've taken two conversation classes, but the rest is self-taught using a variety of books and podcasts.

Brought up speaking it at the same time as I learnt English.

Bought a bunch of dictionaries and books, as well as the audio "Pimsleurs Japanese" It's pretty painful to listen to some guy say "Hello, good morning" each day for around 30 minutes non-stop, but it'll ingrain it into your brain, so it's pretty good.

Books, but I think I need the structure of a classroom and classmates and teachers in order to be successful with it. I am currently looking for classes that fit my crazy schedule.
