This anime has gotten really good.

The writing on the characters and conflicts are very well done. I can say this is one of the best High School drama about friendship which has a good balance of comedy and slice of life and it has a time span of 2 school year .

The acting are very well done by alot of the seiyuu . And hopefully should get an award.Well the same goes for Pysho Pass.

I almost cried during that speech.

For a show that I wasn't expecting much from--the concept certainly didn't appeal to me--I can say that this has turned into a great show that I've enjoyed watching. I'll be sad after the finale airs.

What I find funny is a lot of people started disliking it after it changed to a more serious tone. I went into it because it was funny and light, but stayed because I wanted to see them overcome their struggles. Some people just want mindless ecchi and jokes I guess.

that seems to happen to a lot of the seinen works lately like blast of tempest, and to a much greater extent, SAO. once the action/comedy aspect starts to slow down and actual story picks up, people just start hating for no reason. I find it funny though, that Clannad was the exact opposite.. but then again after Air and 2 versions of Kanon, I guess people knew what to expect from a Key work.

Things got better? Frankly, I dropped it around episode 16. I think I burned myself out a bit on watching anime, so I cut some shows loose since I didn't look forward to watching some of them. lol I might pick it up again later.

Pretty good high school drama + comedy show, very well written .It got really heavy in the last few episodes.

Good ending over all. The second season was a very good wrap up for this title. I feel it doesnt need another season of sort , although I was hoping the sensei get hooked up too.

I can say Sakurai san character turn up to be a surprise to me. I was happy to see him with a very dramatic scene since most of his characters don't show a lot of heavy emotions.

Mitaka Misaki lol

an OVA here and there but not a complete season becuase I doubt they can creat the same energy and unique interaction as this group in 12 episodes.

Almost like Hanasaku Iroha. Well written drama anime with lots of characters and the ending was wonderful as it is .

Well, they're going to have 4 more light novels to cover, which will be the equivalent of about 12-14 episodes, so a season 2 is pretty likely.

I can see them doing another season and follow what Oreimo is doing and finish up the light novels in that season(I really hope this happens). I for one am all for this. You can never get to much of a good thing imo.

I guess I'll post my thoughts on the finale as well as the entire series.

Overall, I felt this show had its ups and downs. The beginning episodes were pretty damn good and caught the most of my attention. I am an LN reader so what was adapted so far gave me a good impression. It is somewhere around episodes 15-20 that got my head scratching a bit on where the direction the show will go. Still though, I thought the series ended overall on a good note with the finale seemingly finishing everything off leaving good (and bad) memories and of course, making the possibility of creating future memories for the Sakurasou residents.

One thing though this show that some people keeps saying is the 'forced drama' phenomenon on some other boards I've read. I disagree with this because the drama present is necessary to develop some of the characters especially with its given premise of interactions between those characters. Without drama, how would the characters learn more about themselves and what they do?

The romance part imo though is mediocre for this series. I felt like what they learned and strives to accomplish in life is more important than just relationships. The romance part imo is an added bonus/gag to the series. Also, from my review:

Other than that, the series was a fun ride. Overall, I found the series to be a charming gem. Despite the cliched story and seemingly forced humor/drama at times, it is surprisingly entertaining. It's hard to present series like this as some fans may see it the wrong way originally. Yet, I found it to be quite charming. It's not exactly a masterpiece or something of a highlight of the year, but is crafted well with its cast of characters. It's funny how imagination sometimes can go so far to create a series like this but otherwise, I found Sakurasou Pet Kanojo to be quite an entertaining watch.

My overall rating on the show is 7.5/10

The finale was charming too with the
and new residents.

For people interested in the LN:

One of the best I have seen, not just a plain romantic comedy, It's more like a REAL slice of life, pretty sure most of us can relate(I assume most of you guys are either in high school or collage), Won't forget about this one for a long time. Good amount of feels. Hope for a second season down the road, if at the very least an OVA or two.
