I'll post here what I posted in the shows comments for ep 9
my only gripe with ep 9 was that: I don't like the introduction of the character Miyahara in the beginning classroom scene, it seems to establish that he is the backup guy who will end up with Nanami if she is rejected at the end (if the show goes that far for a closed ending like Toradora for example) other than that, this ep was pretty good as usual, lots of laughs as well as those serious moments haha Sorata thinking "all four of us in the hotel?" |

Actually Miyahare was in episode one and makes some other apperances too.And here's what I thought of Episode besides Sorata is an idiot 'Shina is a sly one and the vfew words are classic.Misaki is so funny. And the rest of my thoughts. From EP 1 green panties a strom is brewing.Well its here. The ending has Shina. Manga drawings and Misaki s anime.Ryunosuke is just what you thought dont bother me.And Sorata just has troubles |

Toradora! has the same basic ending as the light novel series. It covers all 10 novels. Some of the events of the 10th novel are different than the anime, but the basic premise of Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Ryuuji and Taiga declaring their love, running away, meeting his grand parents, re-uniting his mother with her parents, and Taiga leaving to live with her mother are all the same. How they get there is a bit different, but only a few scenes from the anime are not in the novel, there are just things skipped in the anime for time. The first kiss scene is different too. Both are good, but I think I actually prefer the anime version. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Also, Ryuuji does tell her he loves her, unlike the anime, and the very ending of the novel is much better. As for Pet Girl, I don't know if they are going to make it all the way through the novels. According to Wikipedia, the series has 8 volumes out now, with two more to come. I expect them to cover all 10 of them in the anime, but they may only do through the first eight and save 9 and 10 for a movie or something... That seems to be the in thing to do nowadays.... (Space Pirates, Tiger & Bunny, Anohana, Hanasaku Iroha, Madoka.... they are all getting movies...) (Where is my Tari Tari movie!) |

There are ten volumes already if you include side story volumes 5.5 and 7.5. 8 sold out from amazon.co.jp before I could buy it and won't send a used copy outside of Japan. honto.jp seems sold out too so I am stuck waiting for a second printing... anime bounce was not anticipated it seems. Time to play how far will they get? I can't wait for the movies you already listed! Will probably need to get the BDs as I don't know if they'll stream here anytime soon. |

Although I enjoyed it, this last episode is the only one that didn't have me thinking "that was awesome" at the end. Maybe I was just tired, but it kind of seemed like episode 9 was a bit slower than usual. I don't know.

I agree. earlier episodes were all or mostly 10/10 rated for me while the last one was only 8/10, still very good but not quite as good. |

Yeah, I knew about the short story volumes, but was talking about the main story arc. Toradora! has three short story volumes, a couple of which have been animated, (The OVA is one of them) but the main story arc is where the anime will concentrate.
I agree that this one wasn't amazing, but it is set-up for what comes next. I expect that at the beginning of an arc... |

If you don't mind me asking, how kanji heavy are the light novels? I've always wanted to read one, but I'm afraid I'm only comfortable with about 150 kanji at the moment. |

Episode 10 ![]() Tatebayashi Souichirou. I don't like him tbh as the president. But anyways, this episode was a nice watch imo. That speech by Rita to Mashiro was a painful watch but it was her honest opinion. Ryuunosuke was also a bit rough in this episode from my perspective but he got Rita through. Finally! Loved this episode. I also lol'd @ the end there this episode. |

After that last episode I ship Rita x Ryuunosuke sooo hard, please tell me I'm not the only one.
And that speech was spot on, you don't create art for other people or for recognition, but because it's what you love to do. |
