CAN'T SLEEP !!!! Any good idea's to put yourself to sleep??

I'm kinda curious why sleeping pills are out of the question? I've had to change my sleep schedule on a weekend's notice several times and it's always proven to be the best method.

Sometimes I can't seem to shut off my brain with certain pieces of music running through the gray matter over and over and I've found listening to Katty Perry's Hot and Cold wipes my brain clean. Not sure why, but it works for me. Then after my brain is empty I put on a 75 min track of thunderstorm or rain forest and I'm out like a light.

Plus my ears ring (thank you LAX), so I sometimes sleep with my face really close to a fan to drown out the ringing.

I dont know if its just me, but sometimes using a Q-tip in my ear gets me sleepy

well I don't feel sleepy I just don't sleep..try reading in bed or something, otherwise go to an activity for 30min-45min and try again..I can lay down in bed for hours before I fall asleep, it sucks when you have to wake up early

I just go to sleep and wake up when i feel like, it seems to me you're trying too hard to fall asleep, life is too short to sleep normally in my opinion, but that's just me i mean i work a 3rd shift job right now, because i personally have a had a sleeping disorder and sleep walking since i was 5, so i just find it better to go to sleep when you actually feel tired and just not worry about it too much. One more thing, the main problem most people have with going to sleep is that they are stressed out about too many of the small things in life and just don't realize and I decided to say fuck the small things in life, my life needs to be focused on the bigger picture here not the pixels that make it up.

I'm sorry I don't really have a solution for you! I have sleeping problems too and to be honest I'm used to it now. I havent really slept for over 5 hours since I was like 9 years old. 6 years later I'm pretty used to it.
I can have 2 hours sleep a day and do fine at school and still be hyper active!
Guess the only advice I have is herbal remedies, giving yourself 30 minutes to wind down in the evening and warm milk, listin to music when your trying to get to sleep (like any of that shit worked for me... but my dad has the same problem and they work for him )
Drug's are out of the question for me ... once I'm hooked on sleeping pills ill be hooked. (Not to mention I'm straight edge and I don't take drugs).

There's a study that shows that people who got 5 hours of sleep regularly outlived people who got 8 hours of sleep regularly

Well, you just have to find your ways or routine...for falling asleep or sleeping when you want to where you want to is subjective


My ways, is i calm myself by listening to music and doing
