So why is the new episode being held until next week?
Having to wait an entire week for episode 11 is going to be killer knowing the fansubs are out.

If you search the web you can find 11th episode in HD. I watched all episodes and I find them really interesting, something new for sure and also paradoxical (girls doing tankery)

I'm still amazed that those German heavy tanks and tank destroyers move around that much despite the fact that German tanks are prone to mechanical failure(particularly the track) and guzzles a ton of fuel.

I don't agree with you. German tanks were known as the best in WWII and even now. Especially Panzer III,IV Panther, Tiger I,II. All tanks in that time had big consumption. Only Tiger II was known for mechanical problems due of its weight. Others were desined for Blietzkrieg, Panther and IV were designed to beat Russian T34.

I beg to differ. Russian T-34 is considered the best tank in World War II and it is known for its overall balance of speed, firepower, armor and mass-production value.

You should know better that Tiger I suffered the same problem as the King Tiger. There are even orders given to the Tiger I tank commanders that if should breakdown or immobilized in battle, they should abandon it and never tow it back. BTW, Panther tanks are also plagued with mechanical problems.

All tanks in that time had big consumption.

Only the German Heavy Tanks and other heavy Tank Destroyers guzzle this much gas because of their size and weight. US and British tanks are designed to be light and efficient because they have to shipped their tank to their destination and couldn't afford to add more burden to the already nightmarish Allied logistics. Russian tank designed a sloped armor so that they could have a better HP/ton ratio on their tanks giving them better mobility, operation range and a hell lot cheaper to build.

In other words, better HP/Ton ratio means longer operation range while reducing fuel consumption.

Others were desined for Blietzkrieg

With the exception of Panther, only earlier German tanks are made for Blitzkrieg.

Panther and IV were designed to beat Russian T34

Only the Panther tank designed to counter the bouncy Russian T-34. Panzer IV are originally designed to fight as an infantry tank and not to fight other tanks until they fitted it with a 7.5 cm cannon.

The ending is worth the wait.

That's all I'm going to say about that for another 80 hours.

Strike Witches + Upotte, except with tanks of course.
Lots of cute girls, 50/50 loli and girls with boobs.

I WAS going to watch this once I finished SAO (yeah, watching that to see if it is really over-rated or good. When opinion is as divided as it is, I like to see for myself).

But do I want to watch this NOW????

Strike Witches: GOOD ANIME

Upotte!! : WORST ANIME I HAVE EVER WATCHED ON CR

Heck, it is the ONLY one I even bothered to write a review for!:
See spoiler for it

Oh this wasn't Vividred Operations :P
(Deleted a reply where I said that if you liked SW, you'll like this one too. Then went back to the anime forum and noticed it was the Girls und Panser thread :P)

Well I can't say anything more about this one, since I haven't bothered to watch more than ep 1 yet.

The T-34 is great on paper. It's text book stats for a tank deisgned in 1934 were on par with pz III and IVs and some of the more average shermans. Even superior depending on which sherman you are comparing to. Unfortunately in the real world the T-34 was made with shit steel, sub-par optics and crewed by conscripts.

Sorry for the late reply

T-34 wasn't designed to be a precision weapon like the over engineered German tanks. It was designed to win a war, not to win an engagement unlike the Germans who designed their tanks to dominate other tanks.

So yeah, it's true that some of the T-34 armor plating are made up inferior steel or scrap metal, crewed by poorly trained tankers and it's optics are inferior even to the M4 Sherman. BUT, it retain much of its combat efficiency until the end of the war and it's influential designs paved the way of Main Battle Tank designs.

You know, this series was a bit underwhelming for me at first. Idk what it was, maybe the concept but as the episodes progressed, I got a lot of realism from what I originally didn't get from the series. Oh yes, I'm talking about the origins of the tanks.

I will say that the OP song for this series was very catchy as well as the ED song's visuals. Additionally, I thought the large cast was well done with many of the girls getting in a lot of her own highlights. Ya, the team and stuff.

The intensity of the finale episode was good especially the first five minutes with business picking up right from the get-go.

Well, the finale episode was pretty good imo. The action mixed in with the girls on the team and fighting in their cool tanks depicts that sense of realism which I got pretty well through. The gauntlet match in this episode was performed beautifully.

was excellent. Overall, I will give this show a 7.5/10 rating with some underwhelming episodes though. Still, a pleasant watch and quite refreshing.
