So fellow CR anime lovers, what was the first anime you've ever watched? How old were you at the time? What do you remember from it? How did you come across it? Was it what turned you into liking anime? -insert more nosey questions here- etc etc. (●｀･(ｴ)･´●) I am interested in your stories. Tell me about your first anime experience! (●´∀｀●) For me it was Doraemon. I must have been around 6 or 7 when it first appeared on the television. All I remember was seeing this giant blue robotic cat flying into a little boy's room and giving him life lessons on respecting elders and learning to share. I couldn't get over the fact that he can pull out ridiculous contraptions out of his pouch and it can fit anything into it (sort of like Mary Poppins' Bag). I still love Doraemon to this day. He has made an impression on me, not only that but has taught me valuable lessons in life. If I ever have children, I will make them watch this. (¬д¬。)  Oh, please locked this thread if it has been done already. I know it's annoying to have duplicates of topics running around. |

OMG
YESS me too I love doraemon!!! I remember when I moved to United States they did not have doraemon and I was sooo sad  but my dad found a video tape (yessss VHS) store with doraemon tapes. I actually forgot about him until you posted this picture I saw him when I was around 5 or 6 also. this girl i use to hang out with wanted just doraemon's pocket not doraemon LOL |

I can understand why she wants his pocket haha, although I just want his flying hat thing. ｡◕‿◕｡ I don't think I've ever seen the uncut version of Inuyasha, I don't remember it being that violent, or maybe it was censored because of something else? My first anime was Sailor Moon back in the early 90's, I was really young at the time and it was the first time i had ever seen a cartoon like that, It really helped to lay the foundation for all of the other anime series i have watched since and continue to watch. So thanks Sailor Moon for starting my healthy addiction to anime
I wouldn't have it any other way. |
