My first anime was Princess Mononoke. I didn't even know what anime was at the time and only begged my father to rent it because the cover looked cool. Needless to say, that was one of the most amazing movies I'd ever seen.

1970's Minoru Adachi's "Marine Boy" or Osamu Tezuka's "Kimba the White Lion" can't remember which i saw first but adored both as a child. Bought the Kimba DVD's with hopes of future grandchildren to watch it with.

Pokemon where probably my first, but the first one I watched when I knew that it was anime was Tokyo Mew Mew.

That was also my first encounter with fillers

I watched Pokemon... but it literally makes me feel like throwing up now....
the first actual anime-like anime I remember watching would be Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha...
