New Fall Titles: Lychee Light Club, Aoi Sekai no Chushin de, & Ebiten

What a pathetic season for CR.
Not licensing LB! and JOJO is absolutely ridiculous. NO ONE GOT IT! What the hell. What-the-hell. Piracy will only increase and I feel for the members who don't download anything ilegally. They are missing awesome animes. I'm honestly surprised here. How has NO ONE managed to get those two crazy popular shows? |

Why is Ebiten starting from episode 4?

I think you are being sarcastic but... The trial of the Funimation Elite membership did not get rid of any ads so this is not really obvious. Perhaps the ads go away after they actually charge your credit card but I am not sure as it doesn't say that anywhere. Here at Crunchyroll there are no ads even during the trial period. Much better here IMO. |

Much better here IMO. The free trial has no difference from the paid subscription. Funimation has a mix of streaming rights for their series, so some (i.e., One Piece) apparently not only have ads, but also apparently are not available on devices. With simulcasts, Elite viewers can sometimes be hit with ads if they attempt to view an episode ASAP. I would say that as a rule of thumb, with the exception of a very few series (probably less than you can count on one hand) you'll be free from ads if you are viewing anything over a week old. By contrast, CR is more like Netflix; as AFAIK the rights are always there for CR to stream on devices (though I wouldn't be surprised if there is as least one exception), and there are never ads for premium subscribers (unless you count the Gundam Unicorn pre-rolls on the Gundam series). |

I always view within the first week, almost always the same day, usually within hours and often on CrunchyRoll I have it countdown so I can watch the first cut without subtitles the second it is available. But that means on Funimation I usually see the ads, which sucks. Edit - first two episodes of Ebiten are up. |

Crunchyroll still appears to have an incorrect link listed for Aoi Sekai no Chushin de in the initial message that results in a 404 error. The correct link is:
