I pesonally think its better to wait for the episodes than watch the manga, for instance naruto.
it also spoils the story line. plus you hardly see any thing worth looking at except scribble.
let me hear your views on manga.

i think he meant to ask, 'is it worth reading the manga when it spoils the story if you're watching the anime?'

i think it just depends on the availability of both. if you're really into the story but the manga isn't finished, stick with the anime. (or vice versa)

personally, i like to wait for what i want. for instance, i wanted to read the suzuka manga... but the volumes weren't all out yet. instead of dropping it and watching the anime instead, i just waited for more volumes to come out. the anticipation kills me but it's better that way, i think.

I think waltzforthemoon and zfpinoy. he meant manga as in you read.

I like to read the manga more. but I really enjoy watching it as well... I don't know. I tend to read them first and then watch them if I liked the manga.

Yeah, it is.

the anime may be completely different.

eg. Fma.

He means, is it worth to read the manga when an animated version of that manga exists? I love animation, that's why I usually go for the anime first, but if the anime was really good and I know that it was based on a manga, I will usually want to read the manga afterwards, since anime not always follow the manga closely, leave out or shorten things etc.

Haha I prefer manga actually..more original! In anime the directors tend to change the storyline and have a completely different ending. Well sometimes..but not all of them.

Of course, i'd say 80% manga is better than the anime !!

Sometimes anime is just to slow and boring, the 20% exception is when the anime came first ( it wasn't adapted from the manga or novels - Code Geass etc.) and for music anime ( Nodame Cantabile, Beck etc.)

Ok, the anime was good, but the manga is always better.. I personally think there's too much fillers in the anime and sometimes they would make different expression or scene in the anime than the manga or novels ( ex : Aria and Maria-sama ga Miteru )

lol There's many things that you'd only find in manga, some things that couldn't be in the anime, like cut-scene or jokes, and sometimes some talk by the character that anime producer considered it wasn't important but it's really cool ^^

I don't like Naruto and i hate ninja, but i think Naruto manga has it own unique artwork, like shounen-style, and it's not so bad. It's better to read the manga and watch the anime too so you can grasp and understand the whole thing, and compare that to each other........

And after that, you could make a topic about " *insert title* Manga and Anime, which is better?"
