I still find it annoying that they got rid of the stalk button.

I've been on here since 2007. We used to have chat (which I sorely miss.) and these avatar things we could fight with or something (I really don't miss those.) and we used to have a lot less activity. (Yeah even if you exclude all the "dead members") Shinji's brainchild, for better or worse has grown into the go to site for anime lovers everywhere.

I just recently got a new job and became a paying member and all I can say is it's VERY worth it! So I guess this is also my unofficial sales pitch for anyone still on the fence about paying for a membership. The access to the anime/drama you have commercial free makes netflixs look like a chump. Also it's very nice to able to link this up to my 50 via HDMI cord. Gone are the days of squinting at the computer screen through marathons of anime. Now I can lounge on my couch with my favorite blanket and my little brother. (He's nine and I already got him reading subbed anime!) Also on my smartphone I can watch what I want via the free crunchyroll app and since I pay I can watch on wifi or 4g which is a lifesaver when your waiting a doctor's office or in a particularly boring lecture. (I'm not promoting watching anime in your college classes but every now and then something has got to give.) Finally the more paying members we have the more series and features can be added to the site!

I'm still here because all of the reasons above and I don't have just one favorite anime but if I had to say a top three it would be

Ghost Hunt
Basilisk
Green Green
Kara no Kyoukai
Wallflower

Okay I lied top five.

I've been a member here for a little under 6 months.

I mostly stay for the discussion forums and keeping in touch with friends.

My favorite anime of all time is Cowboy Bebop, and anime that I'm really enjoying recently is Basilisk (which I've finished) and started Bleach.
