I was on the competitive rifle team all four years in high school. Currently I own two shot guns, a Glock 9, 32 revolver, and an AR 15 or (my boom baby as I like to call her.) I'm hoping to pick up archery eventually and I would like to take a few Akido classes for fun.

I am a state champion in archery, I'm gun certified, and my grandfather taught me how to throw knives, along with traditional Filipino knife deflections and disarms. I can also swallow a sword Does that count?? ^^

I've trained with rapiers and short-swords as far as non-mechanical weapons go (you could count archery, but I suck at it). As far as guns go, I've really only ever fired a .22 rifle and I was about 8 at the time I did. I've learned a few fighting moves from my older brother since he's come back from the navy.

Rifles but to be honest I don't enjoy firing them. I don't understand when people get excited about shooting their weapons.

Hmm, there's so much I want to do. I'd love to do kendo more than anything. Archery...maybe. Iaido and battojutsu sounds like a dream I'll never reach, but still...I'd like to keep trying to. I'm amazed/shocked that there are people here who really does them. I'm just a fan of all this stuff. Hopefully, that's just the beginning.

In reality, I've gone up to orange belt in karate (okinawan kempo kobudo kai), but then I had some money problems so, I couldn't continue. Man, did that suck.

Ah...yeah...I almost forgot. I'm not a gun person. I don't hate them, but it's just not my thing.

I think the exciting thing about firing a gun isn't the boom or killing anything. (Honestly I've never killed anything with a gun and nor am I eager to.) The exciting thing is when you get a projectile going dozens of feet in 1/100th of a second to pierce a target that is nothing more than a tiny dot in your sites. That moment when you put the target in your sites, feel the weight of your weapons in your hands, steady your breath, and fire. That is truly the best. It's also why I want to pick up archery. I think the feeling would be that much more intensified. Call it an addiction.
