The slice-of-life battle story is set in a future that has neither World War III nor an alien invasion — just an ordinary future set after our current age. In this world, robots are part of everyday life, and they contribute in various aspects of society. "Shinki" are 15-centimeter-tall (about 6-inch-tall) cute partners made to assist humans. Equipped with intelligence and emotions, they devote themselves to serving their "Masters."

These Shinki can even be equipped with weapons and armor to fight each other. Such Shinki are named "Busou Shinki" (literally, "armed divine princesses"). In particular, the Shinki Ann (Arnval), Aines (Altines), and Lene (Altlene) serve a high school freshman named Masato. Things change when a new Shinki, the bellicose Strarf, joins them.

I've searched the forums and saw that no one has done a forum for this series so I'll do it. I loved the ova and I'm loving the series as well. Although, there's fanservice in the series, which I don't remember being in the ova. It's pretty light compared to some recent series but it's pretty hard to miss. Overall though, it's moe. If you don't like moe, then this series is not for you. There are actions scenes as well but they aren't the main focus, at least not yet.

surprisingly good

First episode was actually pretty good imo and was kinda surprised by it here. The second episode that aired this week was kinda meh and fell behind against some of the other debuting series like Psycho-Pass imo.

first episode was ok, but it wasn't for me. i might pick it up later, but thats not likely

I really love mini-girls like this show has. But honestly, am i the only one that thinks the guy/master looks like animated turd compared to the Shinki?

It's a fun show but I really hope they do get more fights in later on.

Mainly, a few fights from Battle Masters MK 2. Y'know, THAT one. The one where they use for Shinkis for things like the terrorist shenanigans..

An anime with shitty plot purposely made for lolicon fanatics that fantasizes of cute anime-like mini dolls as their possesion.

The story focuses mainly on the Shinki(s) and shows their master for a bit, that's all. Nothing but a ripped-off hastily made anime.

The first impression that I had when I saw the anime's picture is that I thought that it would be something similar to Strike Witches, Sky Girls. or Infinite Stratos. Unfortunately it's not.

It comes to a point when you've seen so much of anime and it doesn't just pertain to anime that your standards of what you think you like goes down. In which you just accept the new stuff presented towards you.

If I had to compare this anime with any other anime(s) of this particular theme, it isn't all that bad. There are other anime(s) that is much worse than this. The main factor I would vouch for this anime being decent is that the "master" doesn't get screen time so I don't have to /rage at him every time.

When you watch an anime where you /rage the whole time that's when it starts to be a bad anime. The only anime and I mean ONLY anime I've ever /raged every single episode was Kuchibiki unbalanced (I finished it if you're wondering).
