Hey there everyone here in the Ixion Saga discussion! Crunchyroll is doing a new thing with the ambassadors where we have to adopt a show and this is the one I chose. I will be writting up a review of each episode and am here just for general discussion about the show.

I know I have not written about the first 4 epsidoes but here is my general impression of the show so far...I have to say that this show has a really dumb humor and because of that it is by all means not for everyone. BUT I think that is why I like it. It's fairly simple, has lots of balls (or lack there of) jokes and does not hold back. For me there is a charm about it. There is also enough of an intrigue to keep one interested because we still know nothing of that girl that sent him there in the first palce. Over all to me this show is kind of refreshing. I find it to be a good throwback anime, which seems to be drawing from odler anime yet keeping it fresh and connected to what is popular in reality (like that song he is listening to in ep 2). "It is also painfully self aware which I kind of like because that means it does not take itself to seriously which is a nice change. I look forward to where this show is going but hope it does not crash and burn. It seems to me that if the humor is not done right the entire way through it gets stale and people tend to loose interest. I hope that does not happen.


Anyway thanks for listening to my rant. I hope to finish out the series and provide insightful and entertainging reviews!

Well thats is true, this one has to have a balance in the story and the type of humor it has . In Gintama, they only have mini stories and the humor goes with the story but this one is 12 episode long.

I do support the director of this series and hopefully the story does not fall flat.

Again, this one is not for everyone. They took a gamble when they took this direction for this title.

what in the world lol

I like the show so far and i usually never watch this type of anime. It's funny to me because when looking for anime i look for anime that Kon keeps trying to say should be happened in this anime but its not just them traveling around getting in a fight every so often.

I love this series. I just do. I didn't like Gintama, but I LOVED Daily Lives of High School Boys (also directed by Takamatsu Shinji).

I don't know why so many people dislike it. But I guess not a lot of people appreciate parody. I swore off generic fantasy adventure animes after Kiba...I just couldn't stand it anymore. So I like to see the genre getting poked and prodded.

With all the whining DT or Kon is doing , he sure sound like and acting like Shinpachi from Gintama.
This episode is so funny.

. And man even though it may be a male but those breasts are mighty fine to me it doesn't make a difference ha ha ha.
Now I am becoming a perve ha haha . But I sure liked that I got to hear and see Jun as a man''s man and not as a girlie man.

The end sure almost killed me , I laughed so much ...so who did to whom...

. The more I watch this anime the more I love it.

Mariandale is the only reason I'm still watching this.

Haha seriously though, this ep was funny, Kon being trolled repeatedly these past few eps lol

I have to agree that the I really love Marian. I find it an interesting dynamic to have that kind of character who is in a sense both genders. Not something you see to much in any type of media these days. I also like how no one cares but Kon.

As far as episode 5 goes I kind of wish they had actaully had a real dramatic story as to why Marian became a woman. It gives the character more depth. But I suppose with the way the show is there really isn't much depth. LOL.

P.S. I want to cosplay Marian so bad!

I thought about that too, it would be nice to know why Marian is what he is ,I kinda feel like Kon...

but then again iti one of those deal where you cant get a serious answer ha ha ha ha.

I actually want to cosplay as Kon because this anime is silly as heck...,but I just all other characters with me .

Episode 6
Highness Guardians

This episode reminds me of a belief when you are born with more than 1 crown of your hair/head , the part where your hair meets and or the part where it somehow forms a swirl that you have a tendency to get upset really fast and is hot headed.

So this play on that hair standing at the crown of the head make sense and I find it pretty funny lol.

I just love hearing Jun's strong manly voice for Marian ha ha ha ha and Nagai san doing the opposite ha h ah ha,,,, nyang

I'm looking forward to next week. Erec-sama will be back!
