As my laptop is unable to play extended videos without overheating and I can't afford to replace it yet (I can still do basic things), so I got a WD TV Live box for videos last week and was happy to read that Crunchyroll was built-in already. However, it's not there at anywhere I can find, and searching the forums for information only turns up people requesting an app for it. Is there a way for me to get it on my box?

It may not need replacement, just service.

I've pulled out either the fan or heatsink from laptops and found the interior side of the fins on the exhaust covered with what looks to be a layer of felt, but it is in fact a matted layer of dust and fine hairs (or fur, if the owner has a pet).

Depending on your notebook, removing either the fan (the easiest method) or the heatsink to clean off this accumulated material can be either relatively easy or quite time consuming. The reason for this is that access to the fan and/or heatsink can vary from just removing a panel on the underside to having to disassemble most of the notebook.

Unfortunately, blowing it out with compressed air usually doesn't work. As I noted, the material usually forms a mat, and will not blow out through the fins, and if you blow inward, you are just pushing it back into the fan.

I am also trying to find an answer to this question, I see there is a 3rd party app, flingo, but you cant link your premium account with this method.
Is there a crunchyroll app for the WD TV Live that lets premium members view in HD with no adds or are we stuck with the flingo workaround?

For WD and Vizio there is only the Flingo app.
We don't have a CR created app which allows premium users to log in.

I'll pass along your suggestion to the development team.
