What's up guys,
Back again to deliver more CATALOG titles for your viewing enjoyment. Today's newest addition will be: Hell Girl: Three Vessels! Like yesterday's title, this will only be available for US and Canadian audiences only. Sorry! Premium users will get all episodes as they become available, while free users will get 4 new episodes a week until the series completion. To whet your appetites further: "Just when it seemed that Ai Enma was finally at peace, Yuzuki Mikage appears: the perfect host for Ai's damned spirit to possess! Now, as the darkest secrets of the Hell Girl threaten to consume her, Yuzuki's attempts to maintain her own humanity become ever more desperate as the world around her slowly shatters into a terrifying series of riddles. Why has she been drawn into the world of the Hell Correspondence? What is her relationship to Ai? And has her ultimate destiny already been predetermined? As the powers of the Hell Girl continue to grow inside her, Yuzuki's very existence is now at stake. Who and what is she, really? The shocking secrets of her past will be unlocked, the tragedies of Ai's will be revealed, and the torch of the Hell Girl may be passed in the shocking conclusion of the Hell Girl saga!" But wait, we're not going to end things just like that. Stay tuned throughout the week as we'll have more announcements for you! The catalog titles are mostly from Sentai and NIS America, both stationed in the US. I wish Crunchyroll would go and maybe ask Japan for more rights, but these really don't boost Anime membership numbers so I doubt they even try. |

They've put up old out of license titles before, but a lot of those seem to end up at the bottom of the barrel as far as the popularity rankings. The most popular of the more recent stuff is licensed, and Crunchyroll can't go to Japan to license stuff that is already licensed for North America. |

Anime licences are even more complicated than women xD xD xD, serious sh*t!!! |

Damn, you got that right. The Japanese put together a new production committee for each series, and when Crunchyroll first went legit, lots of production committees didn't even assign their international licensing rights until after Japanese broadcasts starts. Its easy for us to forget its only been three years that Crunchyroll has been people working to get legit streams to as much of the world outside of Japan as possible, so there are still a lot of rough edges to get sorted out. |

The only examples I can think of are Wagnaria and Hayate no Gotoku, and those but had sequels that they wanted to support. It is most likely we are not going to get a season 4 of Hell Girl, in fact of what could be added, my best bet of something that could get a sequel is Kimi ni Todoke, which may retroactively if there is a 3rd season get regions added, but by my knowledge Production I.G. has never simulcast something on Crunchyroll. |
