I tend to give animes a chance before dropping them but due to this I've probably seen a lot of anime that I don't like. Anyways the fastest I dropped an anime was probably Sakurasu no Pet na Kanojo after 4 episodes.
I just didn't like the main female character and it felt obvious from the start that she was going to end up with the main male character which I didn't like. I preferred the childhood friend.

I'm positive there's another anime that I dropped on its first episode but I don't recall it. I must have erased it from my memory xD

have you watched Toradora before? if you liked that, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is similar minus the tsundere main girl

I try to give everything a chance, so at least I will watch some episodes, but I have dropped some series just going some minutes into the first episode, but I haven't stopped watching them, they will be watched in the future for me :P

But for me, probably school days... 3 episodes into the series-.-

I loved Toradora! Definitely one of my favs lol so I guess I'll check out this anime.

My general rule for anime is give it at least 2 1/2-3 episodes before I decide to drop it, but ikki tousen was so horrid that I drop it after only 12 minutes

If I start an anime, I try to finish it (no such thing as a fast drop with me). I started watching Clannad After Story but dropped it after 1 episode. A friend told me I should watch the first series, so I took his advice and watched all of it. I restarted After Story and when I finished I felt like I had wasted too much time trying to like something that didn't appeal to me (my friends say I have no heart, I say they are emotionally unstable). After that ordeal, I learned my lesson and stopped watching Eureka 7 at about the midway point.

I can think of far worse "offenders". In terms of legal anime, Astarotte's Toy here at CR.

If you watch fansubs, you probably should avoid Kodomo no Jikan, lest you have an aneurism.


I never watched KnJ, but knowing how fast Seven Seas dropped the manga, I know it's never going to get licensed here.

Thanks to you, I now know to avoid Astarotte's Toy. The character designs alone looked terrible, and that's from just reading the show page. Didn't even bother watching it.

Don't get me started on ecchi.

1-2 episodes have been shortest lived some made it to 7 or so. On my end it's more being picky of story or the genre of anime isn't in my age range/interest. I like watching anime but don't want to like characters that would make me feel like a pedophile....kiddy based shows vs slightly more mature storyline.
Girls und Panzer I dropped at episode 2 cause I don't like tanks and sadly tiring of school girl anime, precure original couldn;t get past first 5 or so it reminded me too much of a sailor moon suited more for 8-13 yr olds.
I did try precure heartcatch and it seemed to be a little bit better but I still feel weird watching it.

First episode of Gintama didn't really like it at all. But people say it's pretty good might pick it back up in the far far far future.

Medaka Box Season 2.- I was alright with the first season, but I didn't like the flask plan. I guess I hate fighting anime... as much...

I don't see how people can hate Gintama. The first episode might not lead you on but you need to build a momentum. It will get good. It's freaking funny... It took a few episodes to get into it but it will lead you watch more. I watched it over my summer break...

Chu-Bra. I lasted 5 minutes. I wanted those 5 minutes back! Basically the fan service was too ridiculous and over-the-top for me to take. And this is coming from a person that normally tolerates fan service. But it broke my "acceptable levels" tolerance, so I gave up.
