It's been more than a decade since Elfen Lied was first released in Japan, and it was released throughout several nations, yet it hasn't been released here in the US. Being a Shueisha title, it's most likely that Viz would release it. However, Dark Horse is also a very likely candidate since they've released ultra-violent fare such as Berserk, Gantz (which is also a Shueisha title), and Hellsing.

If its licensed yes. Most likely no it will not be though.. it wasn't very popular here. But there are scanlation teams who have translated the Japanese manga into English if you're interested.

Really? I heard it was one of Viz's more successful anime releases.

And it really would be nice if it got released in the US. Elfen Lied was my gateway manga. But if it hasn't happened yet, it's unlikely it will at any point in the future.

ADV licensed the anime. The manga has never been released yet. The most likely candidates are Viz (since Shueisha (the publisher) owns the company) and Dark Horse (since Shueisha occasionally licenses their titles to them (recently with Gate 7) and that they're known for releasing ultra-violent fare such as Berserk, Gantz (also a Shueisha title), and Hellsing)

Argh, I meant to say ADV, but apparently my fingers typed Viz instead. Stupid fingers!
