Hey, I've googled, and googled and googled and ended up on parts of the internet unknown, but I can't find the answers to this . . .

Okay so Sword Art Online is currently slated for 25 episodes. Correct?

Is that that it's planned for and limited too a total of 25 episodes.

or does it mean 25 episodes are planned with the option of continuing the series should it continue its success? There is (so I am told) a lot more content in the light novels that could be used so I hope for this one. But I cannot read Japanese and thus cannot see hardly any of the official site at the present! (You'd think they'd fix that, it's gaining popularity in English speaking countries ^_^)

Also, is episode 15 the start of Season 2? I saw it on one season that Season 2 had been confirmed, and I can only assume Season 2 is episode 15 to episode 25?

Thanks in advance, pretty much my last stop before I give up ^_^

I think sword art online has became so popular overnight that they are rushing to push out a anime every week to make profit. thats why the story are shitty the actions are shitty, the timeline is shitty, the plot is shitty, and so on.

so
dont expect what u read on wiki to be correct
cuz so far everything is pretty shitty

Google baka tsuki they have translations of the novels.

Ep 15 is start of 2nd story arc novels 3 and 4.
I think there will be a 2nd season as it is just too popular for them to not continue it and theres 6 more volumes to work with.

Yeah I've seen the English translation of the novels, I think I'll stay with the anime, then read the novels after. I find with things like that if I read the more in depth book/novel/manga the Film/Series is ruined for me ^_^

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping for. It seems to be doing well for them so I don't see why they wouldn't!

I'm not really sure what the intention of this post was but it didn't help in anyway what so ever, thanks for the contribution though I guess.

I only wish I could get legal translations of the books because I have found them very enjoyable.

I would buy them in a heartbeat based on the anime alone . . . but they have no physical official copies in English out there ... yet...

I'm tempted to buy that limited edition blu ray pack with the first couple of episodes bundled in, as a show of support, and I would, but it not having subtitles makes it difficult . . .

Well the license has been picked up by aniplex of america so I would not expect a reasonable price for a while yet

Unless you delve into the side stories this anime is basically the 1st 2 novels almost word for word.

That's good news mind you, in terms of popularity, which is good for the odds of it getting picked up for more episodes
