Hello everyone, I'm pretty new here still and was wondering how long Crunchyroll tends to keep an anime around? I have a lot to watch and just want to be sure i wont run out of time on some of the older anime that i have on my list.

Thanks for your time and for any help :3

In the four months I've been here, I don't think they've removed a single one. If they do, I'm told they give plenty of notice.

The only one I know of where they have to remove episodes after awhile is Fairy Tail.
And that's becaus of the licensing agreement. But if I've understood correctly, they're trying to be allowed to upload all the episodes again and keep them up.

it's been 4 years I've been a member and I've seen very few removed (unfortunately, ones I really liked).

I brought up a similar topic in the past, and one response mentioned that CR updates on the site news when certain shows will expire and be removed. This was because I noticed that Angelic Layer was no longer on the list. Luckily, I had already seen all of it here on CR, so it didn't affect me that much. I guess I just didn't see the notification.

Ye, a few series has been removed from CR for licensing reasons I believe.

Steins;Gate, Deadman Wonderland, and Shangri-La are three examples that popped up in my head just now. They used to stream here on CR but were removed. They usually give like a 1-2 month announcement before it does gets removed though so to give people a chance to watch them if they haven't already done so.

The loss of Angelic Layer makes me very sad but there's so many great anime that I forgive them. Some shows have been here since the beginning.

I never got to see Yumeiro Patisserie when it was on CR, which is a crying shame.
