I usually just give them a death stare and that ends it, I haven't had to hit any of them, but I am pretty sure I would. Only after asking them to politely move along of course. Of course my girlfriend is usually the bartender, (I often just wait for her to get off work and chat at the bar with her) and appreciates me getting some of the annoying ones away. Usually I can tell when she just can't stand them, so that's usually when I scare away. It's hard to tell sometimes, I have seen her kind of flirt back wait for them to ask if she's taken, then she points me out just to see their faces. You oversized monkey! NO one in the right mind will talk to your lady in front of you! |

I bet the situation is not serious as this one... My opinion, if anyone is hitting on you and you do not like it and your with someone like friends you can control the situation like avoiding it and invite your friend to go or walk some where else...just walk away with cautious. I for one do not like the idea of my friend engaging or be in trouble for my sake that is not right. |

I like even less men who think they are justified in interfering in "hitting on" situations out of possessiveness, rather than protectiveness. This. If he's being too defensive, it's like the two guys are treating the girl like she's a prize for the winner of their fight. He should let her handle it as much as possible, and be the muscle to back her up if he won't leave. Because if the other guy's pestering her, that means he's a jerk, he probably won't listen to what she says. The BF will have to tell him "Listen to the lady." Of course, if the girl asks him to just take care of it himself, he can do whatever he wants. But only if it's obvious she really doesn't want to deal with it (like if she's trying to ignore the guy). Unless the other guy tries to kidnap her, or pulls a knife or a gun, physical violence looks idiotic. So avoid that. Walking away and not giving the jerk any more attention is best if negotiations fail. |
