And this people, is what you call "Uncanny Valley".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley Basically, when something that looks human, but isn't quite human, it sets something off in our brains that "something is wrong here", which is also largely unconscious on our part. I think it was part of human survival strategy back in our caveman days. What I mean is, when someone is sick with something that horribly disfigures them, such as leprosy, that triggers something in our minds that "we should avoid this person" (and that's why leprosy sufferers often wore those bandages around themselves, so as not to freak out everyone that saw them). You can google some images of it if you want, but you'd better have a strong stomach. |

They look disgusting.
On another note, I hate circle lenses as well. They make people look so friggin' creepy. Asians look way better without them. |

Yes, it's definitely creepy in my opinion. But it's her body, she can do what she wants.

What disturbs me right now is how soothing and relaxing that make-up tutorial is on that linked page.
Those girls are not remotely attractive, frankly they both look really horrifying. I'm thinking hell were they really that influenced by different media, that they thought turning themselves into living barbie dolls was a good idea? |

My god.
What guy in his right frame of mind would want to even touch a chick who looks like that? Yeah she can look how she wants, but a guy also have the right to AVOID HER too. |

Personally, I think they need to raise the age of consent for plastic surgery. At 18 or so, people are still so influenced by the media in regards to what the norm is for beauty, and are still very insecure about their bodies (after all, they are still growing into them at that age... it's natural to be insecure). It's one thing to get piercings, dye your hair, even tattoos... but the permanent physical alteration of your body is another. Even at 25, you will look back on life and ponder what the hell you were thinking at 18 (and of course that cycle continues throughout life, but hardly as drastic as when you look back on your teen years).
Obviously this girl alters her appearance with much more than just eye makeup (you can tell she has had rhinoplasty, her chin shaved down, breast implants, an eyebrow lift, and probably more). It might be fun at 19, but 10 years from now, I have a feeling she will be pretty upset with the decisions she has made in regards to her body. Heck, some of them might even have permanent consequences... being so underweight for an extended period of time could have reprocussions when it comes to child birth, etc. Part of me wonders where a teenager even got the money to pay for so many cosmetic procedures. If her parents are backing this, they are insane. |
