I saw this on facebook, and I was a little taken back, but my first thought was "This child needs help, mental institution or something" A lot of people are condemning her to hell or saying she should be killed or whatever else have you.
What do you reckon?

Who knows what went through her head, I believe she does need some sort of help. At her age she might not have understood fully what she was doing and why. I don't find her reaction all that surprising. This will most likely haunt her later in life, if not already when she understands what she did.
Escaping your parents bad reaction by taking a life is a major bad call. Just look it only made it worse, she made the damn media.

Not the first or last time for this type of incident.
In her case, fear and lies caused her to think less of it as a baby and more of a problem. Lies continued, months passed, she probably kept on the same path. With each lie and fear, and accusations from her aunts, she gradually stop considering it as a life in any meaningful way and just wanted it out of her life.
She obviously will need help, for multiple reasons, but we should, as a nation, realize the pressure we put on children and how it's capable of influencing their behavior and processing.
When a child is more afraid of what her parents will say or do because of her pregnancy, than the actual murder of a human being, you can only imagine the parents impressing the wrong priorities on the girl.
Still say juvie is the only option for her. She can receive treatment during her sentence.

Hmmm, somehow, I don't think she's that crazy at all.
Sure, getting a kid at 14 is not such a great idea, she knew this as well, and therefore acted accordingly.
There's always a chance of getting pregnant if you start having unprotected sex at such a young age. Perhaps she thought it wouldn't be such a big deal to for once. Of course, I don't know what she really thought or whatever.
She's 14, she didn't have the guts to tell anyone about her pregnancy, she didn't dare get an abortion for some reason (I don't know what laws say about abortion where she lives), and felt this would solve everything. She thought a newborn shouldn't be considered a complete human being yet, or something like that.
I'm not saying she did the CORRECT thing, I'm merely saying she's not crazy.

Does anyone know if she was raped or not??? Could factor in, and yeah, mentally ill, because NOBODY in their RIGHT mind, kills a baby, don't care what kind of psychologist/psychiatrist says otherwise....:(

Wait who said anything about hate? I really like America and visited once. There's no need to take that personal.
Frankly, come on. The de-funding of abortions is incredibly stupid. By saying that I don't mean to diss on America as a whole, there's just some things I find ridiculous. I'm sure people could say tons of bad things about my country as well, heck there's things about my own country I find really off.
America plays a huge role in interactions between countries, it's only natural they will get a lot of spotlight as you put it. It's like famous people, others for sure will always have an opinion about them and the things they do, it doesn't equal hate towards them.
