To Aru Kagaku no Railgun season 2 announced?

Railgun fans have finally received deliverance from their long wait – To Aru Kagaku no Railgun has just been announced as being due a second season.
The Index spin-off anime, already the recipient of an OVA in addition to its original run and manga, finished airing in 2010 and so has presumably stocked up plenty of the original story for adaptation, though further details of this and the airdates are still unannounced.

My opinion for season 2 :
Yes!! I was wondering when they would do a second season of Railgun! I miss my Biribiri action and kuroko antics.

Yup, there was a bit of a discussion of this attached to the CR News piece on this announcement.

I watched the Funimation sub of the first 12 episodes of Railgun a couple of weeks ago, and when this news reminded me, I went back to watch 13-18 (for paid subscribers, I think its only up to 14 or 16 for ad-streaming).

I'm not actually a big fan of Kuroko's antics, but I love everything else about the show.
