I was always an avid MTG player (played for 7 years) so YGO was really simple and way too easy for me. At first I liked the monsters and the card designs so I gave it a shot. I could defeat guys who played ever since the game's release when I only had a few weeks of experience. I eventually got bored about 3 months in and traded my deck in for a bunch of good MTG rares. Not trying to say I was good, since I understand that the metagame constantly evolves with the introduction of new cards and strategies, but compared to the 1000 piece puzzle that is MTG, YGO was like a 100 piece puzzle.

My favored card at the time was the Card Crush Virus. I had a deck based on using low-leveled dark monsters to get rid of the opponent's monsters and I'd follow up with Sword Hunter (by the time the enemy can tribute monsters to summon something strong, if they're able to do it at all, my hunter would already be too powerful for them). I also combined this with 4-star monsters with relatively high power at the time so that I'd be able to attack with a lot of power without needing to sacrifice anything. Stuff like Jarai Gumo and Zombira. The ones with the really awful effects.

I've never got the change to see the card in real life but I've always adored it.

I have spent hours looking at this card.

I'd always get these 3 little "trolls" in my booster packs -.-
most useless bunch of freakshows and never found any use for them
