I love short dark hair on girls so I don't think of them as lesbian at all unless it's like a butch haircut than I might wonder.
But it's a very hard look to pull off and only certain types of girls and certain short hairstyles can really successfully do it.

Meh... My hair pisses me off too much for me to let it grow long. Split ends, it getting in the way, the texture being "bipolar," etc... I let my hair grow to my shoulders and then I take a pair of scissors and shear four inches off.

Too many people seem to automatically think that if the hair isn't below the shoulders, it is short. I don't consider it short until it's actually a Mens style haircut. The Emma Stone and Halle Berry short cuts is what I consider short, but the ones that are about to the shoulders are not short IMO, and those kind are pretty hot depending on who's wearing it :3

Being lesbian has nothing to do with hair. I have seen both straight and gay women with various lengths of hair. If this was true in any way, most people's grandmothers would be gay. A good example right now is Ginnifer Goodwin (some of you may know her as Snow White from Once Upon a Time). She has very short hair at the moment and is dating Josh Dallas.
As a personal preference, I like a woman with longer hair, but that does not mean I would write off a girl with a short hairstyle. After all, it's just hair.

Its just a hair style. It would be like saying guys with long hair are gay. Though just a heads up, before you cut off your hair keep in mind that not all girls can pull this look off.
