It's a thing I've gotten into lately.
Animes that are made fairly recently (usually 2000 at the very earliest) with modern animation techniques, but with old school art styles. Particularly Tezuka-esque art styles or other typical 60's/70's anime art styles. Animes like Phoenix, Interstella 5555, Cyborg 009, Metropolis, Casshern Sins etc. Are there any more anime-series or movies like those? |

For a 70's style, definitely Lupin the Third: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna and Ozma would apply. For more of an 80s style, Nazo no Kanojo X. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Ozma was made by the guy who did the Starblazers series (space battleship yamamoto), it's very oldschool in art design. Even though the story was preachy, I really liked it.

That "preachiness" might have gotten old if it went on for a 13 episode arc, but they told the story and brought it to its climax, without any filler, which I liked. |

Still older than the President and younger than The Ancient One

This is relevant to my interests.
Zetman and Gundam UC have pretty old school styles So does Cross Game if you're into sports anime. Also Terra e. There is a Cyborg 009 film being released in cinemas in Japan in two days. |
