You do realize family and friends will have to see the body and they'd be scarred for life. Not to mention the poor bastards that have to clean up after the mess. Seriously, you don't live your life for your sake you live for the sake of others. You're probably too selfish to understand that though so I am just going to bugger off.

Please read my previous posts before you comment. Currently, there is cyclical unemployment, meaning that there is no guarantee I will ever get a job. I believe that society will be better off if I die because there will be one less cyclically unemployed person that the government will have to take care of. Please explain to me how this is wrong.

@TwistedSpoon: Please read what I have written above and refrain from emotional diatribes that have nothing to do with this topic.

I am self-employed as well as attending college pursuing a degree. I was kicked from my parents house at the age of 16 and forced to make my way through life on my own. I have done everything from Electrical, Car Repair, Roofing, Mowing lawns, Landscaping,DJing, Database Design, Web Design as well as Console Programming, the list goes on. Stop feeling sorry for yourself get off your ass and make yourself useful. If you can't find work you make work.

Why do you think that I feel sorry for myself? How can I make myself useful if there are no opportunities to do so? How can I make work?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that entrepreneurship is never guaranteed to be successful. Why would I take that risk and the possible consequences of it when my death is guaranteed to benefit society?

That's your problem. You're waiting for opportunities. You're not supposed to wait for opportunities you make opportunities. You make work by finding someone with a problem and coming up with a solution to solve it.

Example: a few years ago I did some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for a small Marine Sales company down here in Florida. I was searching through their websites HTML and noticed that the individual who had created their site hadn't implemented any meta keywords or description, there was no sitemap and absolutely no Google ad-word campaign setup for the site.

I called up the company and explained to them the importance of site-mapping, robots, meta-tags, keyword density as well as linking and anchor text. A few days later they asked me how much these changes would cost them. I told them if they did not receive more traffic to their site or new business it would be free. If they did, they could pay me what they felt my work was worth. I knew very little about SEO back then, what I had learned was completely self taught through tutorials on the internet. I made $800 that one job and still work with that company to this day.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

So you are suggesting that I do the very same thing that I am currently doing? (Problem: unemployment; Solution: legalize suicide to reduce unemployment) How ironic.

What opportunities are there to make?

Why do you refuse to answer my question?

It really makes me mad when people look down upon assisted suicide for the elderly/disabled persons. If I had stage 3/4 Alzheimer's disease and I could do nothing for myself, I'd just want to die. I don't want to be a burden of the state or my family; at that point I'm not even me anymore. Doctors go to prison because the patient asked for legal OD and then the family gets mad; I think it's that persons choice and not the family's. Same deal with life support. :/ You're wasting resources and time.

They inherently have the right to die because they never chose to be born in the first place. You can't force people to abide by the contract of life when they never signed it in the first place.

Then why shouldn't people have the same rights as animals?

I think you have the right to die so long as you can provide the money for your funeral and the casket etc... :). So put the money on the table then you may leave. Thank you.

^LOL

We don't have right to be born to begin with so why should we have a right to die? XD

Everyone has the desire to keep living, I'm religious and God says that we all have in our souls the instinct of survival...only those mentally sick (depression, low self-esteem, etc) would want to die but only a few will attempt to it and most of the time, those who commit suicide, leave many people behind who will suffer at their expense. So, I agree that a sane person will never want to die.

If you have suicidal thoughts, look for help but if you think is your own decision to make and there's no better future...do what the guy above me said plus, make sure you're not leaving people who depend on you.

So why can't there be some form of assisted suicide methods available to all?
