I just activated my two-weeks free membership, but I think I'm going to start paying monthly after that. :p I'm really wondering... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? How can we ONLY pay 7$ a month and get access to all this anime? How does CR do this while being legal? When you think that the season DVD would be about 50-60$... I'm sorry if this has already been explained elsewhere... ^_^

Think about this. We watch the show, become a fan. Become a fan, you want merchandise... Want merchandise, you spend 100's on figures, figmas, etc. :D

Also if you have a PS3 you should of used the 30 day free trial then paid, man i sound cheap but any money saved is a win.

I'm sorry if this has already been explained elsewhere... ^_^ Economies of scale, more and more people subscribe or watch shows with ads the more money they can use to license the shows that come out. Plus a lot of shows that do well on Crunchyroll usually do well on amazon and rightstuff when they come out on blu ray and dvd. Majikoi Samurai girls sold out on dvd on Amazon and it only came out on Tuesday, It's number 7 on blu ray, Steins;Gate which was on Crunchyroll is 3 and 4. Crunchyroll is becoming our TV broadcast for anime, anime is trending in such a way that people buy stuff when they see it on Crunchyroll IMHO.

They are that much per disc with 2 episodes on them... It is cheaper to wait for boxed sets by Sentai or Funimation but it takes a long time for them to get them out, dub them, whatever which is a pain. It is much cheaper to simply watch them here! And since most titles stick around I can watch then until I've seen them enough anyways. I almost never watch my VHS tapes anymore as I've already watched them so many times since the '80s/'90s...
