www.crunchyroll.co.uk

So um, yeh... when did this happen? Confused the hell out of me when CR started asking for my password when I refreshed a page.

I'm guessing the site will still be exactly the same as the US one... so just wondering why we have a UK domain name aswell now? ^^

Don't think they do. I would change your password if I were you.

Edit: It is very easy to take the source code and replicate this site almost if not exactly and just change the log in server to steal information instead of actually logging you in an account. Of course the videos would not work, but you only need the front page to look good in order to steal information from users trying to figure out why they were logged out.

Click around. The videos, advertisements, and everything work just fine.

it doesn't automatically redirect you when you access the site but rather, the schedule links occasionally use local addresses for some reason. So if your using a shortcut or a bookmark to access crunchyroll.com, "crunchyroll.com" is where you will end up... only some of the links will send you to .co.uk or .ca or whatever localized domain.

there are 2 options really... change your bookmark to crunchyroll.co.uk and no longer have to deal with with what appears to be sudden pre-expired session log outs OR back history till you return to crunchyroll.com where you'll still be logged in and use the "All New Anime" links further down the page since they always use the pages domain address, or hover the "Coming Soon" schedule links and if you see a .co.uk or localized domain address in the status bar, refresh the page and it will usually return to the address it should be.

...or you can go all proxy service and pretend you're an american (^_^)y

they do, crunchyroll does this weird thing with the "Coming soon" schedule links occasionally changing them to localized domain addresses for non US users. the localized domain doesn't recognize the log-in cookies so doesn't see you as logged in, therefor you have to log in again.

Yeh, it was actually a redirect through CR.com. In the Coming Soon sidebar when I went to watch Say "I Love You", the link directed to the video at the uk domain. Was just surprised to see a uk domain for crunchyroll as I don't normally use the links on the side.

Still, i'd been meaning to update my password anyway, so may aswell do it now for any "just in case" reasons.

Well, that is good to know. I was seriously worried when I first encountered that issue.

Odd, same thing happened to me. Perhaps it is related to the site and what you are last watching being streamed from outside the country?
