I'm not sure I can get anyone into anime no matter what I suggest. Most around me don't watch and think they're cartoons and drop the subject. The few that know perk up when I mention anime then want to talk about a seven year old dubbed Naruto episode that was aired on Cartoon Network years ago.

Young males: Dragonball Z in my opinion. It is what got me into anime way back then. I started watching Dragonball Z on Cartoon Network which became Toonami when they aired episode 2. I watched episode 1 online and now I have watched hundreds of series. For females perhaps Shugo Chara? My 13 year old cousin loved it. I think anyone beyond 18 is far past anime and won't like it because they think it makes them immature. You need to start young with it.

"Adults" would be Berserk/Monster/Cowboy Bebop/Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C/Evangelion..

Younger audience, gotta agree with Khaltazar with Dragon Ball Z, that's what got it all started.

The thing is, most younger audience, that are not a fan of anime, prefer action and if they can't find it quickly they are gonna drop the series. So if you wanna get younger audience into Anime, I suggest DBZ, Gundam series, or Rurouni Kenshin. Once they get into anime, you can start changing the genres with series like Death Note or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

However, it all depends on the personality and age of the one you wan to show it to.

That's what I think

Try showing Sword Art Online to any avid gamer or fantasy fan; got 3 of my friends hooked. Yuru Yuri and Acchi Kocchi are good to show for those more inclined to slice-of-life. If they're into comedy, Gintama. You don't even have to watch in order (unless they want back story). If they are more of an average american boy (different from average american teen, by that I mean less douchey) have them try Zero no Tsukaina. I haven't watched much female oriented anime, but I'd say either Say "I Love You" or My Little Monster.

I doubt there's a single anime for everyone to love, but SAO appeals to the largest audience of what I've listed.

I'd say Naruto, DBZ, or Samurai Champloo. But I guess it depends on age and what they like.

For Guys, Dragon Ball Z. For Girls Bleach, or on the non-action side Clannad.

It depends on who you're showing it to really. There is no one correct answer, nor is there a wrong answer.
If someone is completely random, and enjoys light hearted anime, Nichijou or Lucky Star may be the way to go.
If someone is serious and into dramas, perhaps Anohana or Clannad would be suitable.
For people who enjoy heavy action, perhaps Jormungand, Fate/Zero, Elfen Lied, or something similar to those.

The problem here in England is they dont show anime on the tvs anymore. Naruto or dragon ball probly being the last

I still cant get my mind on it so many people here knows and loves anime such as dragon ball, one piece ,naruto ,death note, pokemon and deffinetly Bleach . I cant unerstand why there is no anime in the tv where there are thousands or even millions who likes anime !!

I got a friend hooked in Fate Zero so much he decided to watch Fate stay night by himself !
