Everyone are so proud of being a student whenever i start to flame how stupid nonsense it teaches to people but when one of the worst things happens like a hurricane people dont do anything else than be a happy that they dont have to go to school?
It just proves my and many other peoples opinion that school just makes you dumb.
Be happy that 1 school day is off because of hurricane since thats the only thing you'll be happy about.

The only people that are happy about not being able to go to school are those who do not really enjoy school, and those who just want a day off. Both are perfectly rational. How is the stuff you're taught at school "stupid nonsense" as you call it? Sure, some of it is, but that can be said for anything. Your post for instance, is "stupid nonsense."

I'm not in school anymore, haven't been for over 3 years. But, all the schools in my area have closed for the day, some even closed for tomorrow.

One day without school on the weekday really makes me easy, especially a Monday. I just hope they make it 2 days cuz I'm off the rest of the week! (10day vacation)

So far NY is decent... I start my on duty shift in 30 minutes.
Thankfully the fire department has auxiliary power, so even if power goes out, and we don't get a bunch of jobs to go on...
