Nope don't care...... Somebody walks into my house and doesn't like what I'm watching, reading, or playing they have three choices leave, deal with it ,or ignore it. Nor do I hide it if I bring a woman home what's the point she'll find out one way or another what I like, might as well have it all up front y'know.

Only when my dad is around he gives me so much shit for watching anime. He always says American cartoons are better because of the art or something like that and I keep telling him it doesn't matter how good the art is, it will always be the storyline that decides wether a cartoon or an anime stays on the air but he just doesn't seem to get that. You can have the best looking cartoon or anime in the world but it wont mean anything if it has no storyline.

No, I only like watching anime, I'm not a fan to the extent of possessing material, but ya when someone does come in if I ever watch anime I don't really like them knowing since they might think it's bit geeky/nerdy (otaku) or whatever and I don't consider myself close enough to anime/video games to be labeled that.

I don't ever talk about video games either, it's not a topic I have fun talking about, like at school when people talk about their levels and stuff it kinds of turns me off, though I respect what they find fun, I have other things I prefer in life. I already went at anime conventions and I must say I was a bit weirded out, the anime love was going a bit too far for me.

Some people do know I watch anime, but for me anime is like watching tv, I don't talk about it since it's just to pass time at night. I know I must sound like an otaku hater, but I really respect people able to have a passion to follow. I really like anime, but only to some extent and that is to watch and enjoy.

It's okay. You don't have to be an otaku. We accept you.

Haha I hide everything anyway so I don't think that really applies to me that much, lock and key all the way.

what's there to hide? Unless your telling others your studying, and when they come in your room they expect to see you studying, or else they'll kill you.

I do it because is more of a habit rather than being afraid of what people would think of me. I got so used to pausing games since I was playing rated M at a very young age so I've been doing it for years. Now at days I usually switch to PORNHUB to show off my men lines. They'll be like and I'll be like

On a real note, I usually just pause the video, switch tabs, pause the game (unless is Call of Duty) or switch to a DBZ video since all of my friends and family understand that DBZ is about Badassery rather than Otakuness.

I used to hide it from my roommate, but I've grown to hate her, so when she comes in I blast it louder >:D

Everybody hears that I'm a proud anime fan

I have a giant mural that I painted of Haruhi dragging Kyon by his tie, so I can't really hide anything. All four walls have manga and anime shelves, with model kits and figures spread out sporadically. I would literally have to drape curtains from the ceilling in order to hide my hobby. I'm rather proud of being an anime fan though, so I'd never even think of hiding that fact.

Can you post a pic of that mural lol it sounds awesome.
