As the group steped in Zuloo went through his inventory and pulled out a pile of metal plates cresent shapped. Zuloo grinned as he attached the plates to the grooves in his hammer. Transforming it from a blacksmith's hammer to a devastating war-hammer. The crescent plates attached to the side and slid on top the hammer locking in position doubling the size of the hammer. The weight increase was noticeable on the large mans face and on his arms as his veins came to life like pythons wrapping up and down his forearm and biceps. "Group two follow me and flank right and be ready for switches." He cried out.

The large man got ready for the encounter to start with his three party members behind him. "Keep me in between you and the boss unless your attacking!" His normal carefree aura now faded and a unseen sense of bloodthirsty chaos but yet almost honorable courage be founded him.

Asuna remained silent the entire time when she was walking with the others to head to the boss room. Once the doors were open, she entered inside as well. This was the calm before the storm. This calm felt very eerie, it was always the wait before a nerve wrecking task that could reveal a person's true nature. Either that person would cower away in fear or toughen up to face against the inevitable challenge. Asuna knew she had to be the latter, be the person who does not back down because of fear.

"Group one," Wolf said, following Zuloo's previous comment. "Stay behind me, stay alive. We fight as one unit. We fight together." Wolf had nothing more to say. He just wanted to clear this floor and keep everyone alive. It was very dangerous up ahead. Not wanting to face the reality of things, they fooled around until the very end. At this point in time, they had to be serious. Wolf was fully equipped unlike before. His sword was aching for battle. His right hand was loosely gripped on it, letting it drag on the floor. He wore his cape this time. The ankle long fur coat covered only his back and a little bit of his shoulders, it was brown like a wolf's fur. The cape also had a hood which he wore. It resembled the head of a wolf and gave him speed attributes balancing out his slowness.

Adding on to that, he now equipped his black wolf fur pants. They were light with high defense, making him able to move even faster. His bear fur chest plate was now on as well. He looked very much like a Native American warrior at this point, all of his clothing containing fur except his black war boots. Medium weight and regular defense, it had nothing special about it.

Wolf was now in serious mode. His brows tilted in showing signs of anger. But he wasn't mad, he was ready. His left hand made a fist in the air and he clenched it very tightly. His speed was upped a lot, not as much as the other lightly armored players but enough to made looks deceiving. His giant and heavy body was going to move much faster and more animal like than they would have seen him do before.

His deep golden eyes peered into the darkness, he cared no longer for his <<night vision>> skill because he was no longer a solo player. He looked to his sides and saw what he would've never imagined, companions. His face was serious, but his heart was light. Even if he naturally came off as scary, it wasn't like he wanted too. It was who he was after all. He was someone who could only get along with others, if they got along with him first. And here he finally knew, right before his possible death, he knew, that this was where he belonged.

"Zuloo, Black, Mizuko, Biri biri, Yuuki, Vyse, Nick," Wolf said. "It is an honor to have known you all." It almost sounded like a final battle. "And it will be an honor to complete this game with you all." With those words being the last to escape his lips, Wolf took the first step to clearing floor 4. His took the step into the dragon slayer's lair. Let the games begin.

The groups had now split, and Vyse stood behind his three companions. The battle was about to begin, but the enemy was still nowhere to be seen. He drew a throwing knife from his thigh and twisted it in his hand. He was ready. He was surrounded by people who had more or less proven their worth, and he had quickly grown to enjoy their company. Wolf's voice echoed off the bare walls, and his statement brought a smile to Vyse's face. He did not want to see any of his comrades die. Not only were they his only chance to escape the false reality they were trapped in, but they were his friends. They had helped him, and they had taught him, and he felt as though he owed them. He would never be able to repay his debt if any of them fell in this battle. He needed to protect them, if for nothing more than the fact that they had protected him in this game.

The boss was still hiding somewhere in the shadows, and everyone was still feeling a little uneasy about it. Yuuki was standing off to the right of Zuloo, throwing knives drawn and poised to attack if necessary. Her scarlet eyes were narrowed and observant, and all of the other members in her team were ready to attack. Now, all they had to do was wait. Wait those agonizingly torturous seconds tick by before they finally heard some movements. Scraping. The ominous sounds bounced off the wall, most likely coming from the weapons of the dragon slayer. Dragon slayer. Making a quick menal note, Yuuki was absolutely positive that she had to protect Olive as well. The dragon slayer had stepped into the light, clad with armor and raring to go with a sinister look and was equipped with two giant weapons that was supposed to impose great fear. But not for Yuuki. She was excited about this battle.

Waiting for orders to attack, Yuuki stared at the behemoth.

nick drew his sword, he was with Zuloo, Vyse and Yuuki, all three players who had
proven their worth and their skill.

This sword was heavier then his previous one but still it didn't feel heavy enough.
The enemy was nowhere to be seen yet.

Come one you big ugly... Nick whispered. Where are you!

Wolf's voice echoed off the walls.
"Zuloo, Black, Mizuko, Biri biri, Yuuki, Vyse, Nick," Wolf said. "It is an honor to have known you all."
"And it will be an honor to complete this game with you all."

What is this a final battle? Not yet aint. Nick thought i'm not dying and neither are my companions!
I want to protect them with all i have, to free them and get back to the real world. And who the hell is biri biri? He must be shy to say asuna i think...

Sounds of craping armour was heard and the boos came out of he shadows.
Nick waited for the order to attack, and he was itching for this fight.
A smile came across his face that seemed angry yet excited.

Blacknite held his first throwing knife like a dagger. He stayed close to his group and made sure that they weren't panicing. He did his best to appear calm and walked slowly between his team and the wall. He did not want to be caught off guard especially since if he could get a few throwing knives off before battle was joined he could see if he could a weakness, a vulnerability that he could relay to his team mates. Teammates, the word sounded so ridiculous. When his wife had died he had thought he would go through this game alone, always watching his front and worried about his back. He had looked into the minds of some of the players in the game and had come out of it shaken. They had shown him a blackness in the soul that rivalled that of a moonless night. he had thought he was the last sane person left, that everyone else was becoming the pinnacle of dark and twisted personalities and it was only a matter of time before his small light was either extinguished or was drowned in darkness. But these people had shown him that he wasn't alone. There were other lights out there and they were strong. They were strong enough to fight the blackness that constantly hounded them. These people almost without knowing it had become a beacon and were growing brighter with every battle. He had become a part of something, but this like everything else was a double edged sword. If even one of these beacons fell the darkness would close in further, taking more lights with it. They can't die, these people needed to live not for themselves but for those others that supported them. This brought to mind a poem he had written in grade school a long long time ago that he had found while cleaning recently.

Winter comes every year
The world appears cold and dark
Yet the sun still shines

Finishing the recital in his mind he awaited the boss.

Zwei almost woke up, as from a dream.

He had completely missed the group that went for the boss, and now the town was deserted. He had spent so much time training his strength, that he hadn't even noticed everyone leaving. He wandered about, listening to the wind and the silence. The silence was profound, as even the NPCs had become quiet.

He decided that it was time to test his progress and he started running after the group. His strength was not the only thing that had increased while training but also his stamina and speed had gotten noticeably higher than last time, and because of that he were now able to run for really long periods of time. He could probably make it to the boss room in one run.

He ran and ran, jumping over fallen trees, and roots and headed straight for where he thought the group went. It was a gamble but he had to get it right on the first try, or he could risk missing the whole thing.

After running for a couple of hours he noticed the huge door. it stood out like a tree on the Savannah. He opened the door a little more and heard it creaking like all hell were loose. The silence inside were shocking, the only thing he heard were footsteps and low whispers from the group, and they also drowned in the silence, making them almost impossible to hear. but he could see the torches.

He understood from the lights that the group had split into two, and he also noticed that the boss were nowhere to see...
One of the groups went to the right, heading for the flank and one of the other groups went on straight ahead. "The one going straight must be Wolf" Zwei thought. "His group must be the only one courageous or maybe stupid enough to go straight ahead in a place like this." "I'll go after them" he thought.

He headed for the group he thought wolf might be in, walking slowly but fast enough to catch up with them, and he also made sure to make more noise than usual. so that he wouldn't scare the living daylight out of the group.

As he caught up to the group he nodded to every one of them, but he kept himself in the back, as not to oppose too much, seeing as he were as late as he was.

He switched his scabbard from hanging on his back to hanging in his belt. Although the katana is almost too long for hanging in his belt, he could still draw it way faster when it was in his belt, and because of that he decided to war it in his belt.

The minute everyone had filed in after Mizuko, the two bid doors quickly slammed when the last person had entered. Boom! The sound of the doors slamming together echoed through the entire room. Her hands loosened a little, just barely. Then the dark abyss suddenly filled with light, pillars in the corners flickered with burning fire. She half listened when Wolf spoke to them. Stay behind me, stay alive. We fight as one unit. We fight together." He continued after pausing. "Zuloo, Black, Mizuko, Biri biri, Yuuki, Vyse, Nick,It is an honor to have known you all. And it will be an honor to complete this game with you all."

Mizuko clenched her teeth tightly when the boss still hasn't appeared. Everybody around her had seemed to be thinking about the same thing, wondering why the boss had still not appeared. Closing her eyes for a moment she used her <<Detection>> skill to see if she could sense the boss anywhere. No such luck. The detection skill just wouldn't work on bosses.

The two groups had now reached the center of the room. Their footsteps echoed and died away as they came to a stop. The silence was eerie, and everything about the situation made Vyse feel uneasy. His hands were sweaty, and his heart was beating in his throat. He felt anxious, and a quick glance at his comrades proved that they were also uneasy about the situation. "Why hasn't anything happened yet?" He thought to himself.

As if in response to his question, a metallic scrape sounded in the depths of the chamber. Immediately, the group turned to face the direction of the sound. Vyse raised his knife and the small blade between his fingers began to glow. "I hope you're scared guys," He said to the group as they readied their weapons for whatever lay in the depths, "Fear keeps you quick." and with a smile, he took a look at the sight before him. Not so long ago these people were strangers. They now stood united in the hopes of beating the seemingly unbeatable challenge before them, and releasing everyone from this death-game.
"Ready?"

As the word left his mouth, he brought his hand down and released the throwing knife. He watched it, it's light leaving a glowing trail as it screamed through the air and into the darkness beyond. He had not hoped to damage the unseen enemy, but rather to gauge it's speed, and hopefully locate it in the inky blackness.
This is it..

Wolf's senses were tingling as he felt a human presence appear behind him. Wolf's detection skill was superb for his level compared to the rest of his skills. "We have one more coming," Wolf began. "Black, pair your attacks up with his."

"Mizuko, Biri biri, pair your attacks together. But overall, act upon each other's action. Play your cards depending on the current situation. Do your best to analyze the enemy's attack patterns. Remember, no matter how real this fake reality feels, this is only a game. The monster, no matter how real it looks, moves upon attack patterns." Wolf spouted combat basics that everyone should know but it's important to keep the fundamentals in mind.

"Keep your five basic actions in mind when acting. Attack. Defend. Item. Move. Or retreat. Of course you can attack and move at the same time and defend and retreat at the same time." Wolf looked to his left and right. What is going on? Where is he? The boss had yet to reveal his face from the shadows. The suspense was killing the group.

Wolf unconsciously placed both hands on the shoulders of the two people next to him, unsure of who he just touched. He realized their shoulders were significantly lower that his. "Ready?" Wolf said simultaneously with Vyse.

Time seemed to have stopped in that moment. The only action taking place was Vyse's knife glowing for battle. As the knife seemed to almost have thrown itself, it left the users hand. It was time. "Remember," Wolf's voice was as serious as ever at this point. "Nobody is allowed to die on me." And with that, the knife sank into the void.

(I have been asked to take over the boss battle for the time being. Please behave as if nothing has changed. This is my first boss entry so please let me know if there anything I should change or be aware of. Thx)

The Dragon Slayer saw the blade travelling down the corridor and stayed in the shadow until it had passed. Standing up from behind one of the pillars he then walked into the center of the room. He was massive, dwarfing the men in the room as if they were mere children. His legs looked like tree trunks and his wrists were just as thick. He carried a sword in his right hand but he let the tip of the blade scrape on the ground making an scratching sound like the dead were trying to climb out of the ground. The hilt as well as the blade had grooves and spikes to destroy swords and limbs alike. The pommel was thick and protected enough he could use it to punish anybody that got too close. Belted on his hip he had a large two sided axe that looked worn and well used but he made no move for it. Matching his sword, his armor had spikes all over large enough to impale a man twice over. His mere presence sucked the air out of the room. The flames flickered as his gaze swept over them almost wilting from his glare. Everything he did seemed to have a purpose and that purpose was to kill.

He walked to the center of the room and looked at the two groups of players. One group was right in front of him, with a large man with lots of fur and a sword almost as tall as him. He was surrounded by smaller players that stayed close to the big man as if he was defending them all. The second group was walking around to his left, and another large man was with them. He was holding a battle mace that looked menacing enough but the strain of holding it was obvious to The Dragon Slayer. He looked back and forth between the two groups wondering who would attack first. Lifting his sword into a high guard position he rocked back on his heels, making it look like he would be on the defensive. Then he charged at the big man in front of him. Being a large man he did not move incredibly fast, but when he got moving he was hard to stop.

Wolf embraced for battle. The colossal unit made its appearance and immediately charged over towards Wolf. "To the left!" Wolf shouted hoping to keep his group in one position. Under the circumstances, if the enemy were to have wielded their current weapon in their left hand, Wolf would have attacked as well. But in this case, he moved quickly to the left avoiding the two possible attacks that Wolf thought his enemy would commit.

One possibility that came to mind was a swing from his sword. Huge swords like that are only good when swung and not stabbed, Wolf would understand. Swords like that may stab but in result, inflicting much less damage. In the scenario that the dragon slayer before him would swing, Wolf would easily see it coming because the larger the radius of the object, the longer the distance it has to travel before arriving at its destination. Wolf too, knew of that downside.

The other possibility, the reason why Wolf decided to move along with the others, was just in case the berserker decided to just ram him head on. In other to stop such a technique, Wolf would have to move out of the way first, then attack his side, back, or legs. The problem in this case was that his group moved towards the side that held the enemy's weapon. Wolf could have gone to the other side and attempted to inflict damage on his enemy's left leg, but that would separate him from his group.

"The enemy has made the first move, get your throwing knives ready, Zwei and Black. Rapiers, get ready to block. Once he turns around, we make our move for the offensive. The three of us will block his attack and the two of them will aim for the eyes." Wolf finished his statement as well as landing finally from his movement earlier. "Be ready." Wolf gained his stance back and watched as the world around him reacted to the monstrosity that was, The Dragon Slayer.

It seemed as though the room and everything in it cowered away from the monstrosity the emerged from the darkness. The ground shook, the air thickened, and the torch flames flickered as he moved past them. The towering enemy made no hesitation before charging towards Wolf and his squad, who immediately began to evade the attack, the whole group moving away from Vyse and his companions. "If they can just block one of his attacks, we can strike from the back." he thought.

Noticing the opening, Vyse took charge for a moment and ordered his group to get behind the enemy and attack while he was occupied with group 1. "I just hope their defences hold up...". The group began to move together, and as they circled, Vyse loosed two more throwing knives at the charging enemy. His aim was average, but hopefully they could hit their mark.

The battle had now begun, and he watched as the enemy barrelled towards his companions. His group were now slightly behind the charging enemy, and he looked at the players that stood with him. "Ready?" he asked, and they replied with an affirmative nod. He turned his attention back to the Dragon Slayer, who's back was now exposed to them, and began to charge. This was the biggest chance they had to attack, and they were going to deal a heavy blow.

The first attack came unexpectedly, with only the choice of evasion. The dragon slayer's body pierced through the thick air with undaunting speed and accuracy. Wolf, shouting out attack plans, made no move after agilely evading the dragon slayer's attack. And from then on, it was constant war. Moving like the wind, everyone was careful not to get hit, and if they did so, they would use a crystal. But, that's beside the point. For now, at least.

Yuuki and the rest of her group broke up, and she proceeded to attack and retreat, over and over again. Her first clean hit had been a clear shot of luck, someone defending it as she came from behind, striking from the calf, up. She backtracked again. Yuuki's biggest concern was Olive of coarse, even putting it before her own life unconciously. The devious thing obviously wanted to aid her, but her voice was unwavering, even with her constant panting. Yuuki circled the dragon slayer as she awaited new orders to be given. This was much different than all of her other battles. She had a different reason she risked her life now. It wasn't because of some helpless, overpowering thought of war; it was something else entirely. And after all this time, she finally had gotten a good understanding of what this little thought, this idea that had bubbled up, was.

She had something precious to protect.
