Hey all you Naruto fans on CR! We'll be having a special, double-header feature for Naruto Shippuden this week, with not one, but TWO ALL NEW episodes premiering on Thursday! Episodes 286 and 287 of Shippuden will be available to Premium users this Thursday at 3:30am and 4:00am, respectively, and both will be available one week later for free users.

Speaking of special features, Gintama will be taking a break this week. In accordance with the Japanese broadcast, Gintama will be a repeat of a earlier episode, so get ready to revisit some of your favorite moments in Gintama! You might even notice something new you didn't the first time!

Finally, don't forget that next week, it will be time to "fall back!" For those of you living in places that observe Daylight Saving Time (namely US and Canada), clocks will be turned back one hour on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2am. For us at Crunchyroll, we will be observing said change, and as a result, some of our show times will also be adjusted as well.



Naruto Shippuden will launch on Thursdays at 3am, and Sword Art Online will launch on Saturdays at 11am once we return to PST, so be sure to change your schedules accordingly. The rest of our shows will still retain their same schedule and times.

So it looks like every show (except for Naruto and SAO) will effectively be delayed by an hour thanks to the change in daylight savings again... I expected it since the same thing happened last year, but it still is really annoying.

Assuming, you are in the US, Energy Policy Act of 2005, taking effect 2007. Politicians + think of the children + trick-or-treating = 1 more week of DST in the fall.

Well considering that Daylight savings just kicked in in Australia this month you're just giving back the gain that you had then. And yes .. oddly enough daylight savings happens every year, unless you live in Queensland!

Its the stronger sun up North, it would bleach out the drapes if they did Daylight Saving Time.

Arizona and Hawaii are the only US states that do not observe Daylight Saving Time, for much the same reason that Queensland doesn't.

I do live in QLD. And yeah of course Daylight savings happens every year, but until last year I believe that CR moved most of their simulcasts so that there wouldn't be a delay (which made them all 1 hour earlier in the US, but the same length of time after the Japanese broadcast).
